New Ratchet for PS3 for a bit surprising but understandable. PS4 has Knack. Software on PS3 still sells, TLOU delivered big numbers. All in all I like how Sony is spreading their titles.
During E3 Yoshida said they had 12 new IPs, but then showed only one if I am correct. The Order 1886. Love the looks, even more excited because of who is making it.
Since SSM is helping with development hence the logo in the trailer, it makes sense that Stigs new IP was not shown at E3. Sony said they will have something for Gamescom and they seemed even more hyped for TGS. So this is my prediction based on how Sony has been doing their reveals in the recent years.

Gamescom: Best case scenario: GG has some sort of reveal for their new IP. Teaser trailer at least. Event is in Europe, they are from Holland, it would make sense. Less interesting scenario: MM shows their move game that they showed during PS4 reveal instead.

TGS: SCEJ has to show something big for Japanese audience. Alen Becker has been over there for almost 2 years. Projects that he greenlit will begin to show. Mark Cerny is there as well. So either Demon Souls 2 , hard core would love it. Or some new Jrpg from SCEJ (I know one poster said it was coming, but that it was very early on). Best Case Scenario: Demon Souls 2 or a big RPG project. Less interesting scenario:A bunch of smaller B and C type of game that won't move a unit.

VGA: Now here Sony like to have something big. Naughty Dog more then any othe Sony studio. If I am correct ND revealed U2, U3 and TLOU at VGAs. Best case scenario:New IP from ND or Uncharted 4. And or SSM new IP finally

How do you see Sony playing their cards?

It wouldn't surprise me. They reveal stuff all year round. I mean they announced The Last of Us in the month of December, didn't they? Haha. They probably still have things they didn't want to talk about at E3.

how do we know they are aaa until they come out?

some of last years stuff was called aaa and was crap.

I'll judge it myself rather than let hype judge it for me.

They will have announcements for sure. I imagine something will be announced at the VGAs outside of Gamescom and TGS, probably Uncharted 4.

Why do people keep predicting European developers announcing their games on Gamescom. Didn't Sony have Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, COD Vita revealed all on Gamescom event before. Anyway I expect Santa Monica IP to be revealed at Gamescom as well as Killzone Shadowfall Multiplayer reveal. Also The Order gameplay.

I'm PO'd about the fact that Insomniac was worried about franchise fatigue for Resistance, but still proceeds to create the 10th Ratchet and Clank game.

Are the launch lineups locked in? Nothing from Sony's first party is revving my engines just yet.

There might be downloadable titles but anyone who thinks Sony or MS has some huge AAA game in their backpocket for launchday is crazy.

I agree Sony doesn't have anything too great for launch day but Infamous SS looks soooo good. Hopefully February release at latest.

Uncharted 4. Believe.

With the buzz around PlayStation 4 building, 2013 continues to be one of the most exciting years ever for video games fans. A host of next generation titles were unveiled at the PlayStation Meeting 2013 and E3 2013. At gamescom in August 2013 the focus will be on PS4 and its games line-up once again.

I doubt that. He said 30 total in development among which 12 are new IPs. And 20 from the 30 will be released in first year of PS4 launch.

Nope he made the (very clear) statements in this order:

- There are 30 games currently in development for PS4 in WW Studios.
- 20 of those games will be released within the first year.
- Of those 20, 12 are new IP.

Of the 12 new IP to be released in the first year, we've seen three: Knack, The Order 1886, and DriveClub.

I honestly think there will be more than that. I mean, we still need to know 9 new IPs coming out in the first year. They can't wait forever.

No. He was extremely clear on this. No corporate double speak at all like that guy below you said. Shuhei Yoshida said Worldwide Studios currently has 30 games in development. 20 of those will come out in the first year of the launch. Of those 20, 12 are brand new IPs.

Edit: beaten, but it's worth repeating.

I like your predictions, OP. I'd say these things are likely, IMO:

Gamescom: Two new IP for PS4 revealed by Sony Santa Monica and SCE London.

Tokyo Game Show: The Last Guardian (PS4) re-reveal (counting as 1/12 new IP) and perhaps a new JRPG or Demon's Souls 2.

2013 VGAs: Naughty Dog announces Uncharted 4.

Just my guesses, obviously...always fun to speculate!

So in essence, those last 10 in-development PS4 games.....the ones that are due sometime after November 2014....some of them *might* also be new IPs.....beyond the 12 new IPs that will be released pre-Nov. 2014

Plausible predictions, I can see ND/SSM revealing their new title(s) at VGAs. I really hope TGS deliver on the RPG front too (TLG, DeS II - believe!)

MM tweeted today about showing their PS4 game Yoshida, which makes me think a Gamescom showing is likely. I expect a couple bug reveals at TGS as well.

I want to see SSM's new IP ASAP. So curious as to what that'll be.

VGAs seems like a lock for an ND unveil.

Gamescom - Santa Monica new IP
TGS - The Last Guardian
VGA - Guerilla Games new IP
GDC - Media Molecule new IP
E3 - Uncharted 4

This is how I think Sony will reveal their games. One new game per event. Last E3 it was The Order 1866. Of course expect other reveals too like Vita games, PSN games, and further reveals for current games such as Killzone Shadowfall Multiplayer reveal or The Order 1866 gameplay reveal.
