Pro Evolution Soccer 16 will be 1080p on Xbox One

real question is, will anyone really care or notice? fifa will continue to destroy PES while EA have all the licenses

Not when it's clear that PES is the better "football" game these days, and an even better kit editor meaning they'll be 100% spot on.

EA can keep paying millions for those licenses, it means nothing if they can't improve how the game plays.

Did read the linked comment? It's not Full HD but 1080pr. 1360x1080 expect things have changed in since last month when the interview was done which seems unlikely.

It's Genio88
trolling

You have receipts for that right...
Did you watched the interview in the link? He said they were "nearly there", "so close". Today he posted they reached 1080p.

The guy talking in the video though is the same guy that tweeted that out. He's not always a competent PR person, but saying this now after the E3 demo was running 1080pr, would likely mean it's full 1080p.

Right my bad then didn't see it was the same guy. Didn't think they would that push possible in a short time.

E3 builds are usually a few months out of date so they can prepare and test that slice that people can get their hands on. It's likely they were already trying to push before the 1080pr demo even made it to E3.

I'm not even sure this is news. It's been two years now since the XBO launched, which should be enough time for devs to familiarise themselves with the hardware. Also, it's not like football games are the most graphical and technical demanding games out there.

Hasn't the competing football franchise (and basically all the sports titles) been running at 1080/60 on XB1? This seems more like it was the case of one team/engine hitting stumbling blocks for its resolution implementation.

Fox Engine had a huge bottleneck as it was using a purely deferred rendering engine. Basically, they were expecting both consoles to have enough fast RAM to be able to deal with it, but XB1 didn't.

There were rumours MS sent some technical people over there to try and find a solution, so they may have done that. Hopefully not at too much cost though.

I hope you are not serious.....

Forza 6 is 1080p @60fps this has been said since day one heck, Forza 5 was 1080p.

You gotta be troll'n.

Well, I've not found any proof, at the moment, that F6 will be 1920x1080 with fixed resolution (no dynamic res). If you've got a link, I'll gladly take a look.

Well, there's super high-bitrate videos of it available at Gamersyde if you'd like to go pixel counting.

I've my doubts that those games will be 1920x1080 with fixed resolutions. As I said, if I'm proven wrong when they release, all well and good.
Doubting Forza 6 will be 1080p is ridiculous given Turn 10's history. It would be surprising if the framerate drops below 60 fps in gameplay.

Turn 10 :We’re always looking to push the boundaries. Take our Forza Tech engine for example; that’s an engine that has been in development for over 10 years and with every version of the game we’re always trying to push the technology boundaries of what that engine can do. With the addition of night racing and racing in the rain and the ability to present that to players at 1080p/60 fps is really a technical achievement we’re proud of.”

Turn 10 says its 1080P, unless proven otherwise or you have some proves that it wont be you can just stop with that dynamic res judgment.

Not sure about that, Forza 6 seems to push more on the graphics size than Forza 5. So wait and see but kudos to Turn 10 if they managed a fixed 1920x1080 on F6 with the enhancements they included.

You can do this as Synth mentioned.

http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/fm6_e3_features says it right there not to far down the page

"We begin with big numbers. Numbers like 450, 26, 24, 70+, and 1080/60. Let’s take a closer look at how those numbers come to life in Forza Motorsport 6."

You can also Google Forza 6 1080/60fps and get all the proof you need. Not sure why it's hard to believe...you seem to have an agenda.

haha... Forza not full HD and no DF article on that? C'mon. That would bring billions of clicks.

"Whether you’re racing at night or in the middle of a rainstorm, fighting the spray of the cars ahead of you, the results are a completely new racing experience in Forza Motorsport 6. And it’s all running at a rock-solid 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution."

Turn 10 say it's 1080P and...?
Technically you can claim that a 1360x1080 res game is 1080P, you can do the same for a 832x1080 res game or any other vertical pixels value that fit your screen as long as you've got 1080 vertical pixels.

I'll wait for DF's final verdict with it

Yea, you do that. Wait for the all knowing DF to set you straight. A nearly 2 year old game revamped with a lot more to use in terms of power and toolkit and they cannot maintain the same resolution/fps, right.

My god, the butthurt of some. Where is that pic saying PS fanboys are only happy if the Xbox version has a lower resolution? It's fucking pathetic, just be happy for your fellow gamers.

Come on stop saying Fox Engine is not compatible with Xbox One architecture, the architecture is the same as PS4, the problem was just that Konami didn't care about the Xbox One version, Japanese peaple are very traditionalistic and patriotic, and always push their own console first, same does Kojima, but after a lot of complains from Xbone owners and lower sales they've decided to put a bit more effort on this version too, that's why suddenly we jump from 720p to 1080p in less than a year.

This has to be a joke, but it could go either way.

Well, you could say that about any game that hasn't been released and have been confirmed by the dev its 1080P, but I don't see you in those threads with this BS.

This must be a new way to troll ha.

1080pR, as in 1080 horizontal lines, but not 1920 vertical lines, being sold as 1080p for pr purposes. It was confirmed by Adam at E3 to be 1360x1080, so I'm just asking if it changed in one month?

By that logic all the games are sub 1080P with no exception on consoles or just the Xbox?

There is really only one appropriate response here.

Not to be argumentative but DF have had their missteps.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-hands-on-with-xbox-one

They claimed just about every Xbox One game at E3 2013 was running at 1080p.

They also claimed the PS4 version was clearly higher resolution in comparison to the Xbox One version of CoD Ghosts.

Just to find out that both version that they had were at 720p.

No : Forza 5 is a native 1080P game rendering at 1920x1080, so is Forza Horizon 2 and so are Destiny, GTA 5, FIFA and others on both consoles.
This is not about console wars : XB1 has many games that render at 1920x1080, there's a list on IGN about native resolutions of games.

The Fox engine always could run at 1080p on the Xbox One, it all depended on what sacrifices they were willing to make in order to do so.

I don't think this has any bearing at all on the final resolution for MGSV on the One though.

I think they redid some stuff in the engine. At least I remember reading that somewhere.
