Did you know Halo invented the FPS?
It keeps clumping no matter what for me when mixing with water but curious on what everyone does

I would use 1% or 2% and one of those bottles with a blender ball in it and it worked good. I just used that Gold whey stuff. Haven't used it in a long time though.

Blender bottle with ice cold water filled to 16 fl oz mark, two scoops of Whey Isolate Extreme Milk Chocolate by Optimum Nutrition, shake it for like a minute and it blends fantastic!

I drink protein every damn day twice a day.

I'll tell you if you're looking for the best tasting EVER (I've had pretty much every brand at least once) then this is your guy
I don't know why it's so expensive online. I get it in a supplement shop next to me for 60 bucks for the 5lb. Either way, it genuinely tastes like chocolate ice cream. If you put it with actual milk it doesn't even taste like protein, it just tastes like a fucking delicious milk shake. I've had good results with it too.

Also, definitely a blender ball.

I put protein whey in my oatmeal. Make the oatmeal first, then add optimum double whatever chocolate. After it's all mixed blueberries or almonds etc can go in.

I found the brand of whey protein I take is much more soluble with water than milk. Moreover, makes it easier to swallow because the milk makes the shake a bit too frothy for my liking. I don't even use a blender. Just fill the bottom of the glass with a bit of water and toss in half a scoop to thin out the consistency. If you dump the whole scoop in you'll likely have some curds developing at the bottom. Stick a fork in there and give your forearm a good workout while stirring that mess into something palatable. Ha ha.

I got tired of using shaker bottles because it would always leave shake residue no matter how well I cleaned it. Now I just opt to use a pint glass and rinse it immediately with hot water after I've chugged my shake down.

I have a good way of mixing.

Get a cup. Put 50ml or water or milk. Put in a spoon. Put in your protein.

Mix like mad.

It'll make a thick paste.

Now add more fluids. No more clumps.

Dose it work? I do cardio 5 days a week and lift but I don't want to be huge just lean and cut.

I put liquid (usually mix of water and soy milk), chia seeds, and frozen banana in a blender. Then I add extras like spirulina and peanut powder, blend again. Finally add the protein powder, blend once more. Add a little water and blend a final time if necessary (usually not necessary). Comes out like a nice thick shake.

What's your workout schedule like btw?

?? Personally never had problems with clumping in my shake, so i just carry the powder in my shaker in the gymbag so i can take it right after my workout, just fill in water and shake.

I use either:
Muscleform 94% pure whey protein (actually 94% protein)
Or Gold Standard 100% whey (actually only 76% protein, but 100% lactose free, for some odd reason they don't advertise this)

Also have some hemp protein powder.. Tastes horrible, but feels good in the stomach.

Little water then put in protein and shake it good. Then add more water and shake again.

I find certain kinds of protein powders mix much better. ON Whey mixes the best but is pretty expensive.

I go powder first as well, never get clumps. I've tried mixing by hand before, including the paste method, but shaker ball gets good results and doesn't take nearly as much time so I'm gonna stick with that.

I feel like im taking crazy pills, im the only one who does powder first? never had clumps, and i use a mass gainer.

nah same here, I just think people buy the cheapest crap and expect it to be good.
Maybe OP can enlighten us with what brand he/she is buying??

btw- I just use the classic Buchsteiner shaker (today with a 50/50 mix of muscleform 94% and hemp powder + spoonful of instant coffee)

Powder then liquid when at work, but at home I use a stick blender. When at work, I use a large peanut butter jar (Costco-sized). Ample room for everything to move around and blend with about 30 seconds of hard shaking. (Though I drink Soylent, not a protein shake.)

Liquid, then powder, then more liquid on top.
So I fill shaker a third up with liquid, then add the powder, then add more liquid.

Don't completely fill shaker either, leave enough space so that you can really shake that shit up.

I'm surprised to see all of these liquid firsts, maybe I need to try that.

I do powder first, once powder is inside the shaker I swirl it around a few times like its a martini, this is so the shaker ball destroys any clumps, I then add liquid and shake, works perfect every time.

What's your workout schedule like btw?
I go 5 days a week right now doing reverse pyramid. Haven't been doing any cardio trying to incorporate HIIT more consistently this week. I usually start with shoulders, back, or chest, hit those three isolated during individual days. Chest I end on a few tricep workouts. Back I end with a few bicep workouts. Then legs isolated so my arms get a rest then I do a final arm day that hits shoulders, biceps, triceps, and forearms. This is how I've gotten the most gains. For a while I was doing a 6th day with compound lifts.

Yes you are crazy.

It's worked well for me but I definitely recommend casein at night. Been taking Beast lately instead of just casein since it has casein in its mix. I've been able to get pretty lean (which is difficult for my body type I bulk much easier) working out like this with calorie management. Literally the past couple weeks all I have done is step up my calorie gain for winter and boom been bulking quick as hell.
