Will it be as fun as Bleeding Edge or Destruction All-Stars?
Neither were AAA multiplayer games from developers with extensive AAA multiplayer game experience.

My wife might remember the name of the game, and might have some pics.

brbSony showing up today with all this positive news:
Will it be as fun as Bleeding Edge or Destruction All-Stars?
Because this project cost like 1/50 and they can sold some shitty cosmetics on top.Imagine greenlighting this while saying no to Kojima.
And these fucks need to make it skippable..The future of story is in gameplay, not cutscenes. The industry seems to be figuring it out.
Never heard of these games before. Some people from Destiny, Mass Effect, Apex Legends, BioShock Infinite, Guitar Hero 2, etc.
Strange, this implies the game is not in a early state but in an actual, playable state

Super underrated quotes right here...
"But you know what? The lovely folks that we are talking to today at Firewalk Studios, they're story tellers just like the people at PlayStation Studios are. They are story tellers in a very innovative way. Matched with their deep experience as a collective in AAA multiplayer games, I think that is going to lead to some very interesting and very nice surprises for our fans." - Herman Hulst
"It is all about story in multiplayer, but the story comes from a unique place," says creative director Ryan Ellis. "It's all about those surprising possibilities that happen when two or more players interact in the system. I think it's best summed up with the phase: 'Remember that time when..." - Firewalk

What?I enjoyed Warhawk for the half year that it had populated servers.
And these fucks need to make it skippable..
Sony drives me nuts with that stuff. "here's some fake ass not really gameplay you have to walk through for 5 minutes to be told story"..
My least favorite thing.. worse than an un-skippable cutscene, which they also love.
They love them because MOST GAMERS love them. It's been that way for years!
Probably, I don't know that they'd bother to announce it if it weren't a few milestones deep and on track to reach the public.Strange, this implies the game is not in a early state but in an actual, playable state
Probably, I don't know that they'd bother to announce it if it weren't a few milestones deep and on track to reach the public.
We're in a weird state of production disclosure now where news reaches the public differently than it used to (this kind of news used to be in the trades, or just a note in the news crawl,) but the public is used to "Trailer or GTFO!" (even teaser concept videos are often scoffed at), even though productions now take several years to make...
Not sure what region, whenever I looked for a game with high speed internet the thing was laggy as fuck. Flying was a joke. What?
That was heavily populated for close to 10 years and even after Sony shut it down the hardcore still found a way to continue with their own server.
Do you really believes Sony said no to Kojima?Imagine greenlighting this while saying no to Kojima.
Sony doesnt really fund anything without owning the IP. Thats how they lost Cuphead.

I think that's fantastic, there's a higher risk but we need fresh ideas, we KNOW what Bethesda is going to make its not gonna be a surprise most of the time. This industry needs a jolt of life and creativity which i hope smaller, new studios can implement. That goes for the two studios created from former blizzard employees as well.Sony will keep partnering with up and coming studios because IP ownership is a must.
It must have been your side, I would have had a 10mb connection at the time and it was incredibly smooth. Not sure what region, whenever I looked for a game with high speed internet the thing was laggy as fuck. Flying was a joke.
Lets hope this new title has actual Networking.
Well you were incredibly lucky, everyone I played with in my area had about the same shitty laggy time.It must have been your side, I would have had a 10mb connection at the time and it was incredibly smooth.
Sony lost cuphead? I thought it came on Xbox first and then Playstation?
You’re probably thinking of a different game because Warhawk was flawless.Well you were incredibly lucky, everyone I played with in my area had about the same shitty laggy time.
WTF? We are announcing studios partnerships before announcing actual games now?
Nope, used the server browser. Was an awful time all around. You’re probably thinking of a different game because Warhawk was flawless.
Edit: There was the option to create your own matches which would put the reliance on the hosts internet connection, that’s probably what you did.
for all the single players games they do, they do in fact need a few banger multiplayer games, hopefully TLOU2 is the beginning of great online content as well.
Will it be as fun as Bleeding Edge or Destruction All-Stars?
What have they done? Their site is scarce and the probablymonsters one isn't much better. They seem to just be a support studio maybe? They're very young as well - founded in 2018. Be interesting to see what they have brought to the table.
Unlike Bleeding Edge or Destruction All-Stars, this is a AAA game. The bosses of this games are mostly the same ones of the first Destiny, and the team has many experienced veterans who previously worked on Destiny, Mass Effect, Bioshock Infinite or Apex Legends to name a few. So they will know how to do both a good game and a good multiplayer game.EDIT: Just saw this studio is really inexperienced and likely shit....

ProbablyMonsters is the first of its kind as a new category of independent gaming company. Neither publisher nor developer, we are a family of studios that create and launch original AAA games through a people-first culture.
A family that is knit with strong and compatible cultural bonds that transcend from studio culture, to games we develop, to community of fans, always setting higher bars for ourselves, our teams, our games, and our industry.
