PS+ Extra games for February 2023 (Rumour)

It's also Horizon Forbidden West's anniversary. That's a nice gift from Sony.

I already have most of these, but great selection nonetheless.
 
Horizon is a straight up no.

But Borderlands 3 and REVII are sensible, the latter is being sunset from the PS+ Collection so it wouldn't surprise me any.
 
Xbox fans are conditioned to expect day one games. Sony fans (me!) are conditioned to think "whoa, that can't be right, way too soon" a fucking year after it's release. :messenger_grinning_squinting:

Hope it's right. Would make for a hell of a month.
 
Forbidden West being on premium makes it seem like it's only a demo, doesn't it? Isn't Premium just for classics + timed trials?
 
I can see them offering Horizon around the time that a paid add-on/expansion becomes available.

There ALREADY is a demo for H:FW in Premium so that's a negative. As mentioned earlier by others, this is jist jow this poster adds labels in his tweets

You still don't have Ratchet or Sackboy in there and they are over 2 years old and a year and 9 months old.

They are doing this with Forbidden West for 2 reasons: To have a huge game on PS Plus Extra right before their fiscal year ends, driving a small subscribers increase and the second reason is the DLC that's coming for PS5.

It's a great strategy.

It was still in the top 20 on PSN at number 13 in November, the biggest month of the year. Also in NPD top selling games of 2022 at number 9.

The sales are good but I guess they want to promote the DLC and the PSVR2 game next week?

It's weird, Horizon is coming, but Sackboy, Rift Apart, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection are nowhere to be seen. And then there are PS4-only games like Ratchet 2016 and TLOU2 that haven't made the cut yet.
 
Wow, good month. I was just thinking about buying Borderlands 3 and Scarlet Nexus.
Edit: and Ace Combat, and Tekken 7. Damn, best month by far.
Edit: damn, even Premium was really good this month!

If it still sells very good i would have offered a non paywall demo, a huge discount or a free weekend instead to promote the DLC or Call of the Mountain. On the other hand i don't work in marketing, so what do i know :messenger_grinning_smiling:
 
The Quarry and Scarlet Nexus are both amazing games.

This is a very solid list.
