No Disgaea 3 for another three weeks or so. I believe we might see a port of that terrible Supremacy MMA game finally hit PSN but I'm not holding my breath.

I'll consider it a victory if we get the rest of the Motorstorm RC DLC events.
 
So GAF, I need help please

Two of my friends can't play Unit 13 together nor paety chat because they both have NAT Type 3. The thing is that they tell me that on their PS3 they get NAT Type 2 but on Vita they get Type 3? Why is that happening? One has DSL and the other Cable. Is there anyway to fix this? Is this a router problem? thanks guys.

Yeah, it's router/networking related.

First off, have they opened the required ports for PSN, and forwarded these to their Vita?

Are their PS3 in a DMZ? They would have had to manually do this, so if they don't know what you're talking about, the answer is no, they aren't.

Maybe their PS3s are connected using ethernet rather than Wi-Fi. This shouldn't make a difference, but it might depending on the router. Do their PS3 and/or Vitas have static IP addresses? This is probably required for port forwarding on their router.
 
I'm not sure if anyone on here knows, but I bought a Vita 3G from Amazon.DE and live in Holland. Will I be able to activate the Vodafone sim-card that comes with it, and more importantly can I top-up with 15 euros to get the Wipeout 2048 download code.

You can play games while it's in the case, you can plug in headphones, chargers, whatever. It protects the analog sticks if you want to put the system in a pocket really well.

Yep, that case is amazing. It didn't add any size to the console (so it still fit easily in a jacket pocket), and you only need one second to start playing.

Tactic Ogre, without a doubt.

FFT is the same PSX game with a few cosmetic changes (translation, cinematics...)

Tactic Ogre is a remake that enhance relevant gameplay features, like common class leveling, chariot system to undo and redo movements and world system that allow to browse all decisive decisions in the story and explore the different paths, without messing with saves.
 
Has anyone been having any trouble making purchases from PSN? I've had nothing but problems since I got my Vita. I think I'll have to give their support a call tomorrow. I've never had this problem with PSN before, it's rather aggravating.

Final Fantasy Tactics. I really wanted to love Tactics Ogre, but found the leveling extremely tedious and many of the game systems quite opaque. FFT is a flashier, more straightforward game, and I prefer that style.
 
Thinking about picking another sports game for the Vita, I already have Fifa and Hot Shots Golf. I was thinking maybe Virtua Tennis 4, to the people that owns the game, have they fix the online multiplayer so matches are lag free ? How is the single play world tour and how long is it ?
 
I just love browsing gaf With my vita on my balcony.

got a refreshing beer and a sunny day. And if i get bored I can start up one of my many rpg's

If you mean from the Vita, using a "What's new this week" button like on the PS3 Store ... unfortunately no ...

And that's just stupid ... finding what's new in the store is a pain, having to go through categories such as "Games", "Demos" or else is just not user friendly.

There is a newest releases button in the store.
 
The newest release button doesn't work as intended. If you click on it, it will still display the launch titles. I would have preferred if it only showed the updates for the last week or two.

I love the HK Vita store. You don't have to click on any folders such as 'demos' or 'games', all the latest stuff is shown item by item, newest on top of the list!
 
Anyone played GTA:LCS or VCS? How do they control on the Vita? I'm interested but worried about how shooting and camera controls are handled.

And I should've taken advantage of the EU discounts a few weeks ago... they were 7,5 euros each, now they're 15.

I have a feeling this will change when, ya' know, there's actually new PSN content, and not launch-related demos/DLC.

I believe it actually is working as intended.

The main reason some of those launch titles are still showing up near the top is due to the fact that demos were added a couple weeks back for Sony's first-party titles and thus the whole listing gets bumped as demos/full game versions are effectively linked together.

I bought VCS. It looks a lot better, without the ghosting on the Vita screen, the graphics really stand out now. Aiming can be mapped to the second analog, so it will control almost the same as VC on the consoles.

I believe they are $10 on the PSN store, well worth it if you've never played either.

Dumb question: PSP's (and PS3) main menu background changes color depending on the month (and day/time). I noticed Vita's background comes in different colors, but can the Vita change it automatically?
 
I really want a fighter for my vita but I can't decide which, UMvC3 or BlazBlue. I've played MvC3 and loved it, never bought UMvC3. Now with the expansion(?) in July do you guys think it will also arrive as DLC for the vita?

And BlazBlue looks really nice but I've never played it. Could anyone give me his opinion on the game, I like fighting games but i'm not super heavy in the frame data etc.

Also is there anywhere I can check the sizes of the two games?

Aiming on the second analog is what I wanted to hear. They're 15 euros each right now on the EU store. There was a half price promo a few weeks ago, so it'll probably be a while before they get cheaper again. But I'm tempted.

Blazblue is alot of fun and to be honest works better with the button configuration, MvC is much like Street Fighter made for the 6 button set up and while there are alternate configurations it never really feels the same even though it looks amazing and is fun in its own way.
Blazblue can be as basic or as deeply frustrating as you want it to be.

There was maintenance happening. They said you mostly wouldn't notice but I noticed it yesterday too. The store was badly accessible for about an hour or so.

Wait for MK. Comes May 2 and it will be, by far, the game packed with the most content of any other fighting game.
