PS Vita matches what Wii U does?

Did Nintendo just leave the goal completely open?

The PS Vita can do all what the Wii U does.
Streaming from a mother console has been a part of PSP since 2006.

And the PS Vita has analog sticks.

The Sony guys can 100% match this. Only that you can take your Vita beyond your home.

The PS Move on PSVita patent makes much more sense now as well:

You could do this OTA with 802.11n but I'm guessing the tech they are using to stream better suits what it's designed for

All you really need to do to get the Wii U experience is to purchase a PSVita and a PS3.
A 4 player session on Wii U will cost someone around $500. A 4 player session for ps3/vita (assuming the PS3 could stream to multiple consoles at once), about $1300.

If Sony allows us to stream everything from PS3 to Vita, open up RemotePlay, you end up with pretty much the same experience.

AND

You're not limited to the living room. You can take the games with you everywhere you go.

I'd suspect that Wii U ends up with way more titles that are specifically designed for the console+"handheld" experience, but we'll see.

Ultimately though don't people buy Nintendo consoles because they want to play Nintendo franchises?

How did you work this out?

So u think the controller is the console!! ? Did you not see the actual unit. I only care for HD Nintendo games though I got none except Zelda 3 sec demo that will never happen

here we gooooo.

but yeah you're right, seems like the vita wouldnt have much problem doing this besides having a stylus.

Good luck waiting for Mario, Zelda or Metroid there.

PROTIP: Bring a chair.

I don't think the WiiU supports a stylus since its using a capacitive touch screen?

"Latency Free" is probably the key word here. Could the PS3 really do that with Vita?

Not using the PSP method.

But I'm guessing that's also why people are let down by the WiiU graphics.

the ps3 only has 802.11g so no except for simple stuff. in theory you could do it over IP with the ps3 wired but I'm guessing more people use wireless than wired on their ps3

It's backwards. Wii U does what PS3 and Vita do. Or at least I don't think a 5" portable is leaving the house all that often.

It supports stylus. And single touch taps.
PS Vita is multi touch (and rear touch).

No, the controller is not the console..

The Console design is likely not final, they probably only have a dev design so they didn't focus on it.

It does they showed one in the sizzle reel.

Makes sense. The first Wii shared a lot of development with the PSP, now the WiiU will share a lot of development with the Vita.

PSV is missing the more powerful base station and simultaneous TV output, two extra shoulder buttons and a larger screen that makes sense for the input they're talking about.

Sony could do *similar* stuff if they wanted but I'm guessing both consoles go in much different directions.

Isn't Vita Bluetooth equipped just like any PS3 controller?
