Im impressed, these are 360 screens or PS3 screens? The game will look better on PS3 (be it that its far more powerful than 360) right?

Undeniably Me said:Anyway, the big news here is that it's multiplatform and that's what I'm happy about. It never made much sense to have seperate development teams create abysmal crap for the Xbox when they could have just made the Smackdown series multiplatform. Otherwise, I don't expect much from the first next generation attempt. After all, the JBI on the Playstation 2 didn't offer a huge leap over the PSX series. It should still be good fun online though with there being no cheat devices to spoil the fun on Xbox Live.

Stamina sucks, I don't care if wrestlers get tired in real life this is a game I wanna have fun I don't want to play a sim. (I know you can turn it off but they sllllooooweed the action down comapred to Here comes the pain.)
Sho Nuff said:Smackdown's animation is fucking weird and I really can't put my finger on WHY it looks so bad. It could be the character rigging, not enough bones for the basic skeleton or something, because everything looks stiff. And other times it looks like there's very low mocap accuracy or not enough keyframes.
The other problem is the animation blending, which is nonexistent/a total fucking mess. The guys are slipping and sliding around like crazy. Raw and Raw 2 may be steaming piles of shit, but they do have really good IK and transition animations. I think the later Gamecube games have some degree of IK as well.
I guess what I'm saying is, whatever animation system they're using needs to be COMPLETELY thrown out, because it looks like it was based on legacy PSone code.
Has anyone tried Yuke's WRESTLE KINGDOM for X360? The animation on that looked good from the demo movies, and I wish they'd use that as the baseline for the next-gen developments.
gutter_trash said:eeeshhh, I'm not impressed at all. (where's the lights?)
I bet they will still have some animations recycled since Smackdown 1 and SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role dating back 6 years ago
Umm...whoever is better generally will win, unless you are fighting against Tripple H and you have the " I'm the King of Kings " move and you will win automatically via a Sledgehammer and a pregnant Steph.beermonkey@tehbias said:When you play this with your friends, does the best player win or is there a script that you have to follow?
yep nick rox said ps3 version won't have multi-colored shadows like the 360 one :lolMonorojo said:The game will look better on PS3 (be it that its far more powerful than 360) right?

DCX said:Well i have always loved the Smackdown series of games and i love the character models so far, they could only get better, hell maybe Fight Night better.
-The arenas need to be licensed from now on, i'm tired of being in generic city in said generic arena. I want the Silverdome, i want MSG, i want the United Center hell i want the small house show venues. I want an authentic representation of the sport.
- I want smoother animations, better weight based and logic based move implementation.
- I want custom ring entrances to inlcude songs off our HDs
- I want the exact roster that is availible at the cut off date. Not a portion but the ENTIRE RAW/SMACKDOWN hell even OVW roster as well, with the ability to call up and send down.
- I want all the titles. Current, recent and of yester-year. I would to bring out the old WWF belt with the Ultimate Warrior belt colors.
- I agree that the Women's Division should be in the game, not just vallets that could fight, i want fueds, i want stories and have the option to actually fight for the belt.
- I want the entire annoucing team of the brand to be inplemented to thier respective shows. Tazz and Cole for Smackdown, Styles/Coach/King for Raw, and JR for WrestleMania.
IS this to much to ask?

ooooooh...Gamespot said:While the game will still differentiate between strong and weak grapples, these moves have been mapped to the right analog stick. Now, when you want to grab ahold of your opponent and execute a move such as a suplex or a slam, you'll do so by pressing the analog stick in any direction. Presumably, your position relative to the position of your opponent will determine which moves are available to you at any given moment. What's even better is that when using the right analog, you'll have greater control over the execution of that move than ever before.
For example, by pushing up on the right analog, you can pick up your opponent and set him up for a suplex. By holding the stick forward, you can keep your opponent up in the air and even walk with him around the ring for a little showboating. Only when you let go of the stick will you drop your opponent back down on the mat. Similarly, you can use the right analog stick to perform airplane spins on opponents you've picked up, or even interact with various interactive hot spots found in the wrestling environment, such as pushing back and forth on the stick to ram your opponent's head into the ring post.
