oh shit:
3.76 + 0.678 + 1(UK) = 5.438
and we know it's DOA in Australia, Mexico and Brazil, so Sony lied!!!
1 million sold in UK! 45% are Chelsea fans, 40% are Man. Utd. fans, 10% Liverpool fans and 5% Arsenal fans.![]()
He probably thought the UK=Europe. Can't think of another explanation for those silly comments.
The PS4 has sold 5.5 million in 3 markets (US,JPN,UK) and it's hard to believe it's sold 4.5 million in the remaining ~50 markets?
Consoles are dying though. People keep saying that.

WTF? Are you trolling?Well , without an evidence i can't believed them.
Thanks.
Pretty clear cut that MS won't be regaining much ground this gen with a 4k weekly gap in sales.
Weekly average for the X1?
Week 42 means last week... so no.Are Destiny bundle sales included in that 1 million?
WTF? Are you trolling?
Surprised it remained 1.5:1 ratio with the XBone after all this time. Had a feeling the XBone may have reduced that since Titanfall and price drops/bundles but the fact it remains the same means MS have a lot more work to do in the UK. This Xmas is really key.
Psst. There are more countries than those three.Based on math the UK should have been at 5.5M
That...that's not real, is it? It must be a joke. Nobody's that uneducated. We have a special place for people who think that Europe is a country. It's the last place.
What, fire sales already? XCube.Nice news for Sony...
it may be coincidence but Xbox one deals are very aggressive in the Uk at present
you can get a Xbox One and Destiny for £308 at present
Find many great answer thank you gaffers![]()
I admit I forgot Vatican City State but I don't think it changes the results too much.Psst. There are more countries than those three.
the bish effect.
And from their behaviour...
Holy shit how I laughed at the fact that they could see the new players were Xbox players. Cod generation.
.the bish effect.
So third-party tracking services should release their data to satisfy your specific curiosities?
------------------
Here's what I know
US - ~3.76M as of August 2nd, 2014
United Kingdom - 1M as of Sept. 9th?, 2014
Japan - ~0.678M as of August 31st, 2014
Germany - 540k as of June 31st, 2014
France - 2013 YTD = 240k
Italy - 210k as of June 26, 2014
Spain - 181k as of February 2014 [Soon to be 205k]
Poland - Nearing 100k as of September 2014
Portugal - 2013 YTD = 21k
Australia - PS4 surpasses XB1 sales
New Zealand - PS4 sales surpasses XB1 sales
So with all the information I have seen thus far I can account for brief windows of maybe a dozen regions. The information simply isn't there and no tracker is going to release it on their own accord. I don't really see why we should disbelieve the 10M announcement when you're never going to get a detailed breakdown of sales that account for all regions
Week 42 means last week... so no.
"It's literally as the pre-order volume gets shipped and more picked up in the early hours of this morning," he told Digital Spy. "It's that volume - that's quite a chunk - that's what takes us over the line."
Or Sony cannot afford to lose investor/shareholder confidence at this point. Their credit rating is junk. If they lied about their numbers, goodluck getting any money from investors for future R&D. Not to mention a huge lawsuit from its shareholders, and a freefall in share prices.
So it is 43 weeks?Well according to this article they are counting Destiny bundles too:
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/...e-million-mark-in-the-uk.html#~oPm0USmfUYBbGe
If we look at the figures it's easy to see why. At midnight last night Destiny went on sale and this morning the PS4 shot through the one million sold mark in the UK. For Sony, Destiny is a system seller, with the £349 PS4 Destiny bundle the main attraction.
Soo, is there any chance Sony (and MS) will come out about two weeks from now to announce Destiny-related hardware sales bumps? Or is it silent running until November? They'll obviously have to announce 1-year numbers in November.
from the eurogamer interview. Very clearly sounds like they went through the 1m barrier as soon as they counted those Destiny day one preorders. Wonder if they've just rolled them all in or were literally counting actual sales?
Does this mean I am officially now one in a million?
So the UK has a higher density of PS4s than the US.
On that basis, I wonder if we have the highest density worldwide?
That was not in quotes though.from the eurogamer interview. Very clearly sounds like they went through the 1m barrier as soon as they counted those Destiny day one preorders. Wonder if they've just rolled them all in or were literally counting actual sales?
Most surprising bit of info from that article is the fact that the PS3 sold 1 million in 46 weeks.
Wow missed the eurogamer article. So there is still a serious gap between the PS4 and XB1 in the UK then it would seem
You can't troll here, so everything what you type is what you are.Not sure if epic troll bait or a sad commentary on the education system.
Well they have 2 major exklusives with Sunset overdrive and HALO coming out this year.
I am sure this will narrow the gap (but of course not closing it)
I won't call March/April "a much quicker fashiom"Strange how quick we are to forget that the Wii was supply constrained for a good part of its first year. Sony has managed to resolve that in a much quicker fashiom.
It's really difficult to compare the two.
Looks like it will take Xbox One quite a while to sell 1 million in the UK
Metro.co.uk article.
"The Xbox One has sold only around 1.2 million consoles in the whole of Europe, compared to around 3.8 million for the PlayStation 4."
