Fffff and there lies another conflict. I'm one of those weird people who like to go into consoles completely cold. You know, unboxing, smiling, smelling that new console smell. I've made it through 360, PS3, Wii, 3DS and WiiU without checking out a kiosk and feeling the controller but this time? The temptation will be strong! I'll still probably hold out but arrgg!

This will be my first system (outside of Vita) I'm getting on launch day, it's usually been on the following month for Christmas. I played the DS, 3DS, Vita, 360, Wii, Wii U, and PS3 all before having one in my home. Playing the Vita early didn't really kill it for me, I was still super hyped to get it on February 15th.

I'm not sure what to do about PS4, though. I want to play it as soon as I can, but I think I should go into cold. Maybe. Never really done it before for a system.

I will say this. Pulling the controller out of the plastic and having it be the first time you held it knowing that this is YOUR controller for YOUR console that you haven't even experienced yet is quite a thrill for a gamer. Especially when it marks the start of a new generation (depending on how you view WiiU)!
