PS5 Owners - Are You Going Mostly Digital?

All physical except for PsPlus games here.
I am not a fan of having only one licence to use the product. I want to be able to insert the physical media and also in the (very unlikely) case of a Sony server shutdown (who knows what the future will bring), be able to play my games.

With £70 prices I've gotta hustle with these disk versions for a while. On ps4 I'd buy a game for full price on disk trade it in after completion then buy on sales digitally for a second playthrough. Though the amount of full price games I buy gets less and less these days.

I won't be picking up a PS5 until early next year, but it will be the disc version...I've got a large collection of PS4 disc games.

Other way around this generation. Potentially being able to play older games in patches at 60 fps is a pretty big deal. Also, there are a lot of PS4 games I haven't played yet and used physical is just so cheap.

I'm using physical imaginary discs in my imaginary PS5. When I get a real PS5, I imagine I'll use physical discs as well.

I'm abit more oldschool, like walking into the shop, picking up my game, and leaving it on the shelf. ahahahaha. But with some online games I do prefer to download such as rocket league, minecraft etc

It's the beginning of the end for physical media, look at music and mp3, movies and streaming. Physical games dying is stunning gamers but it doesn't shock me.

Nah, on the off chance I say a naughty word that Sony doesn't like on game chat or even another platform like Facebook or Twitter (because apparently banning people for saying naughty things on other platforms happens now) I would prefer not to lose my entire game library.

No. The only way I'll go digital if that was the only way to buy games.

I like to own what I buy and also physical is cheaper and I can sell the games or give them to a friend/family if I want.

After being physical the past two generations, the accumulation of games taking up space, and the faster load times of the PS5 SSD I'm thinking of going mainly digital this generation, using the disc version only for my physical PS4 games.

Anyone else thinking of doing the same thing?

Most likely same as last gen, 60/40 physical vs digital. Maybe 50/50 this time around.

Nopers -- I want that disc drive for more than just games. That's really my primary motivation here. Whenever I can find one, lol.
