PSLifestyle: Unannounced Sony title tomorrow

UltimaKilo said:
Twisted Metal PS3

Versus XIII

Unlikely:

ZOE3

Kingdom Hearts 3

I wish:

Mark of Kri PS3

Soul Reaver

All seem a little 'big' for a post conference announcement. Perhaps some larger PSN title.

A multiplayer only Twisted Metal for PSN like SOCOM:Confrontation developed by Incognito perhaps?

"Project S"

What's this?

I might have gotten that wrong, but Reggies choice of words when KH DS was announced made me think there was another version of Kingdom Hearts also in the making.

Think all the E3 surprises are over? Think again! According to the E3 schedule, Sony will have an unannounced title revealed tomorrow. At this time, the title is not known, although it’s rumored to be “big”. Stay tuned on PlayStation LifeStyle for this announcement, coming Wednesday, June 3rd.

hmm.....sorry if old

In the schedules they sometimes listed games as unannounced for things they announced in the press briefing. MS had this too and the game shown turned out to be Forza 3.

They leaked the TRICO trailer. Don't diss.

Was that not the problem?

Everyone had such a positive reaction to the Trico trailer. When showing the trailer for The Last Guardian the reception was somewhat dampened. It was the same trailer only using a more recent build of the game engine. It did not have the same impact!

Sev1512 didn't do Sony any favours by leaking the trailer.

actually, you can see it as Squenix last chance to milk the ps1 version before the inevitable FF7 remake. just like Castlevania SoTN ps1 version come out on psn shortly before Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles come out on psp.

SoTN was not the selling point for Dracula X, though. It was a bonus. And it was specifically for the handheld. I don't see the logic in releasing FF7 if you're going to pump all kinds of money into a re-make. Certainly it would cut into sales as many people are not going to want to play the same game twice?

I dont think anyone purchasing the ps1-version today will hesitate when it comes to buying a remake. Well not that many anyway.

Logically many (most?) would. I know that if the PSN version was available for $10 I'm going to think twice about purchasing a $60 remake if it's between that and a dozen other titles. It would absolutely affect sales in a major way.

I hope it's not just MGS: Rising as technically that hasn't been announced for PS3 yet officially. Plus Konami have their conference today right?

Thats weird. Looking at their program schudule on their stream channel, this is what I is posted there.

7:45 pm
Unannounced Sony Title -- This could be big!

http://video.ign.com/streaming/e3-2009/

Why would Konami announce a "Sony title" ? or am I missing something here ? then again, its IGN and they've probably fucked up.

yeah, until we all see the remake trailer and how beautiful it looks and we'll end up buying it and make it sold millions. I think it's save to say that most FF fans is graphic whore at heart. pretty graphics can sold a lot of copies even for an old game.

beside, many people who currently buy FF7 on psn probably already played the game at least once anyway.

Some of us still have our the first demo disc, original game discs and GH versions. And the PSN store version on the way. :P

But is it for PS3 or Wii? IGN made a mistake, took it down and the tremors on KHIII have died....

which is precisely my point. once Squenix announce FF 7 Remake, ps1 version of FF7 on ps store lost much of it's value. most people won't buy it if the remake is coming. so this is Squenix chance to milk the ps1 version for some cash before they announce FF 7 remake.

Just one thing; when the E3 schedule was written up the titles we have seen at the various conferences were "Unannounced titles", of course now they are not. There's a good chance that this game was probably announced at the Sony conference, its just that schedules do not updated as announcements are made.

Same thing happened after MS conference, the schedule listed a viewing of an "unannounced title" which was a Forza 3 demonstration. My bet is that it'll end up being a showing of Modnation/Last Guardian or something along those lines.

This. A bunch of my friends watched the IGN feed expecting something huge, and it was Forza 3. Which wasn't on the schedule, hence it was unannounced.

has someone set up a live blog for the Square Enix event? The Konami event?

I would shit nuts. And we could make Cheerios.

Twisted Metal PS3 would be one of my most anticipated games. I'm just hoping it something we don't know about. Judging by all the leaks though, I think it's safe to assume it's nothing huge.

:lol

Don't set yourselves up people. If it was anything major/new it would have been shown in the Press Conference.

You've been warned. I don't think there has ever been an instance where a major announcement took place AFTER the PC's.

They've been warned by multiple people in this thread to say the least.

It most likely will be ModNation Racers.

That 7:45 listing changes to that it's going to be pretty hilarious, but I agree.
