So if it's localized now, it should be out on the european store soon? RIGHT?? :lol :lol

The US patch is out already. I'm pretty sure Europe will see SPF2 this week or next and America will see a Hot Shots demo and probably a PS1 game.

If you read this thread on the Capcom forums you can see what the latest is on the EU version (the latest news is on page 4). They've basically been bounced by Sony Europe certification a number of times over the last few months and have just submitted a new version to them, which means it's probably still a few weeks away.

I don't believe a date was announced for the patch as of yet.
I doubt it will be out soon at all. It has Home features, so I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't out until then.

i had the wallet money for 4 months, but bought Riffed instead, now i cant charge it anymore, thanks sony, i waited 4 months for the fucking release of super puzzle fighter euro and now its coming soon. Just wait till i get my hands on some US sony PSN cards, you will be mine.

I wonder when that will be, though. Sony has really fucked up this PSN card business. Heads need to roll. I'm sure their PSN sales would have been a lot better had those cards been available.

I think the EU version will be out in a week or two. The reason I say this, is that there is a 'bug' with the latest version that removes the last character of the user name when playing online. So, my PSN name is 'tha_con' but online it only shows up as 'tha_co'.

Given SCEE's track record, that bug would hold back release. So hopefully it's not present in the latest version sent to SCEE, for Europes sake!!!

I had a question about purchasing Downloadable Games on a JPN account. Ok, I live in the US, I have a JPN account and I am interested in buying a downloadable title only available on the JPN PS store. Is it a good idea? Any addition fees? Any info on this would be great?

Is it me or is SSHD nowhere to be found on the Japanese PSN Store? I bought it already, but I'd like to have the updated version that has custom soundtrack support.

Re-download the game from your download list.

Hey guys, new PS3 owner here. There was a demo of GT5 Prologue on the Japanese store, correct? Is it still there, cause I can't seem to find it.

It was a limited time demo I believe.

Oh hey, speak of the SOCOM Devil, it looks like SOCOM: Confrontation is going to be released in the summer according to this interview.

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=33414

SOCOM: Confrontation shipping in the summer. SOCOM is also one of those emblematic PlayStation brands. Multiplayer. A lot of folks have grown around the PS2 [version]. Killzone 2…not quite new IP, but certainly not an established brand like SOCOM. That will be a huge FPS title.

Also, according to the SOCOM Blog, SOCOM: COnfrontation might be the nextcover story.

http://therealsocom.blogspot.com/

Well I'm rarely behind when it comes to news, but according to some Playstation.com message board posters Dan "Shoe" Hsu of the 1up/EGM network was on a radio station recently answering questions when the topic of SOCOM came up.

"SOCOM Confrontation is the next SOCOM game for PlayStation 3. It's going to be downloadable uhh straight to your PlayStation 3. They went quiet on that. Uhh When they first came out, and showed the game to everyone it kinda got some bad feedback. It didn't look that good. So actually umm,

I don't know if I can say this.... but I'll say it anyway. It's actually our next cover story. Like in umm, probably in 2 issues from now for most readers like uh if you're just getting the new issue now (the March issue with the PS3 and Snake from MGS4 on the cover). It's the issue after that. We're wrapping that deadline up. We're going have.... NO NO NO! I'm actually way ahead! This maybe two, three months from now (that would be the beginning of April or May AKA the May or June issue of EGM). But we're going to have the 'first look' of the new SOCOM, SOCOM (confrontation) since forever now; I think it's been a year now, with the improved graphics and we're going to talk about all this cool stuff that is in the game. So I think we're more excited about it than we were at this time last year."

Unfortunate, but thanks.
Yeah. Japan's demos are notorious for being short-lived. The HSG demo was gone quickly, too.

Download ANYTHING and EVERYTHING free, even if you cancel after activation, that way it ties to your account for download later.

IE. Guitar Hero 3's Free Song, Dream On, was only up for a weekend, but I can redownload it at any time.

Also, I got bored and dl'd the Ridge Racer 7 stuff last night. (Well, activated and cancelled) Where is decal pack 10?

Japanese store has been updated with "My Stylist" for psp.

Ain't that badass?

It's just the PSP theme :P

I think the "game" requires the camera, so I'd be surprised if they really put it up on the store.

The JP PS1 games are already up for the week.

The latest Quartermann pages in Electronic Gaming Monthly feature some new rumors. One of the rumors is that Sony's Patapon will be seeing some sort of spin-off released on the PLAYSTATION Network. We'll have more if this rumor is true.

Hopefully it's not like the Loco Roco "spin-off" that the PSN got. That blowed.

It remains the only PSN game I really, really regret buying. :(

Yeah, that, and Go! Sports Ski. I also bought Go! Skydiving, but that was actually fun (well, Landing Mode was.. the other mode, Formation, was literally unplayable).

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels the same way. I blind bought most all my PSN games and enjoyed them. I thought I'd like LocoRoco (the PS3 one), but it was just meh. I would have been happier with a LocoRoco PSP port in HD instead.

Oh well, at least it was only $7 or $8 (can't remember how much I played).

That GamesIndustry.biz interview...Steinberg practically confirms Resistance 2 for November, with Killzone 2 coming before it.

Two games enter, one game leaves.

Yep, and one of them happens to be UMJAMMER LAMMY. :D

Has anyone else ever bought a PSN game for the way it would add variety to your menu of animated game icons?
Not quite, but I do like to have the animations go (and hear the sound) while I'm doing stuff around my PS3. One of my favorite PS3 features. I wish more games used them.:D

Every time I look at the JPN PS1 list, it's like getting stabbed in the eye. What's the best way to get funds for the JP store? Ebay JP PSN cards?

Micro-transactions FTW?

They don't say exactly how much has been spent, just that it's somewhere under 1 million yen.

#1 is bamboo stalks.

Well, since the base game is free, DLC is the only way to profit.

Anyway:

Status on the Söldner-X PSN release
Written by: Spencer on February 7th, 2008 @ 1:11 pm

After seeing tons of video footage I have been eagerly waiting to play Söldner-X on my couch, not my PC. Fortunately, Side Quest Studios is working on a PlayStation 3 version of Söldner-X too. However, the PlayStation Network only release won’t be coming out anytime soon. A moderator over at the Söldner-X forums who is also a member of the development team mentioned the PSN version will not be coming out until Q2/2008 at the earliest. Perhaps, it’s time to bite the bullet and pick up the PC version?

Did anyone download Gran Turismo 5: Prologue from the Hong Kong store? Is the multiplayer limited to the same region or is it the same version that is going to be released in EU/US?

Multiplayer is not region-locked.

JAPAN STORE HELP:
-Help on creating a Japan Store account. Alternate guide here.

-Currency exchange fees (usually a standard and relatively small amount) may be applicable to your credit card. Check with your CC agreement for details.
-NCSX importers email you the code and don't charge shipping. When ordering, the freight charges that show initially will only disappear shortly before you get to the final checkout page. NCSX also currently appears to be out of stock of 3000 yen cards.
-Playasia DOES charge for shipping and you have to wait a few days to get your card. However, they have more options for the denominations.
