PSN Content 10/25/07

I guess I'm just really surprised at how many people really believe that the PSN's offerings are equal to, or greater than, that of XBLA's.

I mean... it doesn't OFFEND me or anything :p - People are free to like whatever they want. I just dunno how any multi-console owner would think that the PSN's 5-8 really good games trump what MS has done with their digital delivery service. To me it's almost not even fair to compare them.

But to each their own.

I probably won't post in this topic again. (rejoice?)

I actually thought the first question asked about the difference between PSN and XBLA was a very reasonable one, it's a shame it has to bring out the trolls. But that's Neofaqs for you.
 
when is PAIN coming?!

i've got a couple of 10 year olds who saw the trailer and keeps bugging me about it. stupid sony giving out trailers light years away from release. stupid sony.

OK. There was exactly one person who was arguing against you and you carried on and on and on.

The person you originally responded to was looking for more information on the PSN titles because he did not recognize the names. He did not ask for a PSN vs. Marketplace comparison or LIST WARZ. That was ALL you.

Oh, so you pay for LIVE, and there's space designated for ads. PSN is free, hasn't been out for as long as LIVE, it'll get better, it has been improving already. Stop bickering on stupid shit like this.

I don't want to belabor this but you're still out in leftfield because you're disconnecting from what was initially asked and going off on your own tangent. The comparison of the libraries sought in this case is a matter of how they differ, what games can be played on one that can't be played on the other. It wasn't a "which is better" question in the first place, but that's the question you ran full tilt to answer. He just wanted to know about the individual merit of the games available on the PSN that aren't on XBLA.
 
There seems to be three greyed out tracks in the MotorStorm Time Attack section since the v3 update: Devil's Crossing, Eagle's Nest and DiamondBack Speedway. I'd only heard of the second one before now.

They install on XBL too if you watch you will see it says "downloading" "installing" , they just do it all in one step where PSN the download and the install are seperate steps.

Also on PSN, if you don't BG download, they will install right away.

Oh well it's getting a little late and it doesn't seem like this weeks update will be to hot? Guess if I wanna get this thing shipped out today its time to hit "yes' on Restore PS3 System. Bye-bye my month and a half PS3 memories. ;_;

As for the XBLA vs PSN war well I guess its more interesting then people complaining about no soccer demo and slow downloads. :lol
 
Hey, tanod, it looks like the correct spelling is Trials of Topoq (not Topaq).

Just in case anyone was having trouble searching for info on that game, like I was until I figured that out :p

So thats why I couldn't log in for one last check. Even the JP store is down. Is the long awaited PSN Store upgrade coming?!



Edit: OMG its gonna take 3 and a half hours to format this thing?? Will it go faster if I delete some stuff manually beforehand?
 
Woohoo! Spyro! I always wanted to try the first one...

A couple of questions, since I have a PSP but I don't have a PS3 (a friend does)...

1. Can I download on his PS3 and then dump it to my PSP using an account and credit card I set up (i.e. so it doesn't charge him, and it shows that I purchased for later, when a PC/PSP PSN store opens)

2. Once I download it to my memory card, can I also back it up to my PC, in case something happens and it gets erased, or I need to make room.

Thanks for any help!

I've never seen anything from Xbox Live unpack or install itself like the PSN downloads do.

And all PSN's "installing" is doing is literally unzipping the distributable package to the GAME folder.
