PSN Speeds. What are you getting?

1-8MB/s, varies wildly. Lower half of the spectrum is the norm though. No disconnects or similar problems. I consistently get 12MB/s when downloading from other services.

Here's what I get:

NA / Canada (Toronto)
PS3 slim, upgraded HDD

Wired / DHCP

XMB connection test says:
37.4Mb down / 2.1 Mb up

I've personally never had an issue with PSN speeds.

Speeds seem the same in the connection test. My main issue with PSN is the laggy store (I really miss the old store).

The download speed generally fluctuates from 5 to 25 mbps for me. It mostly depends which CDN the download gets assigned to.

In this picture the small Machinarium and Galaga downloads were off fast servers for me. Meanwhile the 6.6gb Resident Evil Chronicles initially connected to a server with half the speed. I restarted the console and was connected to a faster server. This cut my download time in half.

US wired 80gb phat. Vita is the same speed. Steam downloads are 35 mbps for me because it uses 10 connections which connects to multiple CDNs at once. One is usually fast at any time of the day.

Edit: This just happened while a third through the download:

I have to completely restart the download, thanks Sony. Here's the new download speed. The old is on the far left and the new on the far right.

9-10MBytes/s, which is pretty close to my max 100mbps ISP limit.

Yes (but this doesn't change anything)
Wired/DHCP
100mbps / Fibre
9-10MBytes/s ~ 80mbps

Some times it's a bit slower, but it's usually like that.

I have a friend who had terrible connections problems with PSN. His ping was horrible, he had trouble connecting to servers, and would get dropped from games quite often. He cleared out all of the messages in his inbox and sent box and it fixed everything. I don't know how the hell this is the case, but I wonder: could that also effect download speeds?
