PSN still down, internal testers online in various games though

It worked for my dad last week, but then it stopped this weekend prompting me withe the "PSN is down" error message. I tried doing what you said, but it still didn't work at all. To top it all off, I'm getting a disabled user error when I tried to load it up on Wii. :(. Sucks to be me, I guess?

Yeah, it's worked for the entire time for me. You have to try to log in - it'll fail 2-3 times but then Netflix loads up.

Considering cable companies are dropping the channel because the ratings are so low I doubt G4 gets more than 1 million viewers ever.

Sony also said it would be up by the weekend...not like we can fully trust their word either.

Strange. It's worked for me everytime.

Select Netflix app --> try to sign into PSN when it prompts each time --> cancel out of the error message each time --> you should then get into Netflix after about the second or third time

I was just exaggerating that most of the PS3 owners do watch that show for gaming news. And yet sony still sits quite letting misinformation get around.
 
Ugh, I hate the way Kaz looks in those suits. It's like they're two sizes too big or something. Eat a sandwich for crying out loud or stop wearing Kutaragi's 80's clothes, man.

Sony should initiate a "Register Portal 2 weekend" and get just enough services up so people who have Portal 2 can do this and then we can get back to ignoring PSN again >_<

I'm surprised Valve hasn't just allowed people to input their code onto Steam without linking their PSN accounts until PSN is back up.

No, more importantly, they should give everyone an hour today to just transfer stuff between their systems. I have a PSP Go sitting here with nothing on it at all and 11 games on my PS3 waiting to transfer to it.
 
Can somebody give me a rundown of what it takes to "rebuild a network"?

I mean if all your staff is working all day and night to fix things, shouldn't there be some leeway by now?

nope didn't work for my friend no matter how many times you tried...here is my previous post:

So I was at my friend's this weekend and he said that even Netflix is not working. I told him well mine works and you just need to sign-in couple of times. Well he booted up his PS3 and started netflix. First thing I notice, his app is totally different from mine. My netflix after some update now looks like shit: the interface is really clunky to use and has no genres etc to search on. His looked so much better with every thing like it was before I updated mine. The strange part is that both were on the same version 2.0.2. Anyways, I tried to login and it did the normal 'can't sign in' drama and then I played the movie and it still asked to login to PSN. This does not happens to me as the movie would play fine. I am not sure what is going on there?

there are multiple interfaces that netflix has been trying out on ps3 (and maybe other consoles too?). i used to always have the one where it's like a menu with stems from genres. the one i've had for a few weeks now is the one that sounds like the one your friend has lol. it's clunky and there isn't really a menu. it's just like 10 rows and each row is a bunch of movies that you slide left/right on.

oh and my netflix works on both my ps3s as well (if that matters at all). i'm not saying you're wrong about your friend's netflix not working, i'm just letting you know that there are different interfaces on some ps3s.

Looks like I gave them too much credit banking on May 9th. I wonder what impact this will have on Brink. A Black Ops map pack just came out last week on 360, and you cannot even play the game online on PS3. Does the Steam version come with TF2 hats?

Seriously. That and enabling trophies in lockstep on Steam until you can sync. Steam gets the news and "global achievement/trophy" stats via the Steam overlay in the PS3 version, so it's still somewhat internet enabled. Just give us a Steam login page or something like that and let us earn both at the same time. :/

Actually mine is the sucky one you described and my friend has the good one but both have v2.0.2 on them which is weird. I remember the very first interface which was so much better than this stupid rows of movies...it looks so bad and hard to get to where you want to be. Why have they got different versions out there. Doesn't make sense. I even tried to delete and reinstall the netflix app and it would still install the sucky interface.
 
My live is expiring on the 21st... I wasn't planning on renewing it but this wait is killing me. I might as well start buying my shooters for this month for 360. I can't imagine how many people are gonna switch from being impatient.

Presumably the tech isn't in place with to link PSN to Steam within Steam itself, and with the PSN log-in down even if it were it wouldn't be possible right now.

I think it'd be cool if they allowed redemption via the client but it's not big deal really, especially considering they've probably been hearing the same "this week/next few days" bullshit we have. Maybe if Sony had said it'll be three weeks Valve might have acted differently.

I really hope that's not going to be in SF3SO, if there's anywhere I can note some official hatred towards it I would happily do so.

EDIT: Capcom Unity blog have a Twitter account, if I had a Twitter I'd ask them about it.
