Rekwest said:The new PSP Giga Pack can now be found at brick and mortar locations and online retailers nationwide. The $299 SKU includes a 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, battery pack, AC adapter, USB cable, and an all-new PSP stand.
The item has been seen at several retail locations, including Wal-Mart, and currently ships in 24 hours at online retailers like EBGames.com.
The Giga Pack will be released for a limited time during the holiday season next to the existing $249 Value Pack.

Danj said:Limited time... wtf? Surely this should not be a time limited thing, it should be replacing the Value Pack? Or is it just a case of the Christmas Special Offers, and they'll go back to gouging people on memory stick prices afterwards.

battery pack 16 hours of play!! anyone?Oni Jazar said:No. The Giga pack will be silly as the memory stick prices continue to drop. What they'll do is drop the price of the value pack soon enough and let you get your own damn memory stick.
"Did all the emu authors drop off the face of the map? They just stopped in August...."
DCharlie said:i was thinking that too... Maybe they got Money-hats/Threat-hats?
A lot of them seemed to be students...so a drop off just before the start of a new school year makes sense.Sp3eD said:Did all the emu authors drop off the face of the map? They just stopped in August....
The timing really makes that seem possible...Wario64 said:probably explains why humma stopped working on umd emulator
Anamoly said:I've got a JP PSP which i've updated to v1.50 US firmware. Unfortunately, when I try to update to v2.00 or 2.5 JP and US firmware i get an update screen with no visible text but X and O icons at the bottom. I'm thinking my psp might be fubared by the cross region firmware update but I'm hoping its still possible to update. Can anyone help me out?
If possible can someone at least give me a step by step instruction on what buttons to press in order to update. Perhaps, if i can press the right buttons in order i might still have a chance. Thx.

XMonkey said:So, is there a nice easy way to go from a 1.0 JP PSP to a 1.5 JP PSP without the use of a game?
I generally found PSPUpdates to be the best at covering the legit homebrew stuff. But there's also places like http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk and http://www.pspgarden.com that seem to do a good job. The former is almost a mirror image of PSPUpdates on many days and the latter is more of a news aggregator from a number of PSP related sites.Ignatz Mouse said:My firm just cut off access to psp-hacks. Other than that and pspupdates, where do folks go for PSP stuff?

Fusebox said:Try it through UMD emu.
I play Most Wanted, Kingdom of Paradise and Infected all on 1.5, without the WAB version changer just using UMD emu 8c.
The post above yours refers to one such firmware loader, as do any posts that mention the WAB Version Changer.Ignatz Mouse said:Holy cow!
I see from the various psp news sites that there's now a firmware loader, so that you can load later versions of firmware from the memory stick. Sounds like the kinks aren't all worked out yet, but this could be the magic bullet for homebrew + later games.
Anybody try it yet?

I can understand that big pictures will mess things up, but how capable is the browser?
