PSX on PSN - I've never owned a Playstation, recommend me software!

I know that it's already been mentioned, but I can't stress enough how amazing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is. Best game ever. Definitely get it.

You get your money's worth with pretty much all the RPGs, especially the $6 ones like Parasite Eve, Alundra, Suikoden, Breath of Fire IV, and Wild Arms.

I would like to recommend the Spyro games (especially the 1st one - it is still incredibly charming, if a bit easy and simple).

Unfortunately, the PSN version suffers from considerable amounts of slowdown. Still completely playable, but the slowdown messes up the music as well and is rather annoying. I wish they would fix this, it's not like emulating a PSX is hard.

So is the controller setting glitched on PSX titles or what?

Setting "Switch Analog Mode" to "Digital Mode" allows me to use the analog stick, but setting it to "Analog Mode" only allows use of the D-Pad.

Shouldn't that be the other way around?

Play Ridge Racer Type 4 then don't touch any RR game after it as it is when the series peaked.

I dunno, I've been playing it off and on and while I agree it's the peak of the series it's aged kinda badly. I'm not sure if that's the PSP-1000 controller issue and if the Go makes it handle better or not.

Also DAT POP-IN

Funny that you say that, because that's what I bought this Friday. I'm really diggin' Ridge Racer 3D on my 3DS so I figured I'd check out RR4.

Its fun, but I can't reliably pull off drifts.

Yeah, once you get the hang of it you can do it perfect every time. What I wouldn't pay for an updated HD version of this game on PSN.

Never owned a PSX either. Can anyone recommend non JRPG games? JRPGs are great, but they always make up a huge percent of what gets recommended.
