Pushmo/Pullblox World announced for Wii U

If you don't Pushmo on 3DS you were doing something wrong(unless you hate puzzle games in which case you must be crazy).

Glad to see Wii U is getting it but I feel it's a game that's better suited for handheld.

Beautiful news, although wary about the lack of 3D.

Is it just me or is Nintendo trying to claim May as its own E3 month-long event?

So how's this different from Pushmo? I noticed one new mechanic. Why is it on Wii U? It seems like MiiVerse is more deeply integrated into the game.

Just a guess... since the series has been established as a fan favorite on the eShop on 3DS, bringing it to Wii U is just one more bullet point on the list of reasons to own a Wii U.

It also helps soften the likely massive retail release drought that will start on June 1st.

I am getting this, that's for sure.

It's called picross world in Japan? or am I hearing this wrong

引ク押スワールド
Hiku-osu-waarudo
'Pull-push-world' :)

That being said, now I want Picross World for my WiiU...

Awesome visual upgrade, and more maps is always good. But Crashmo's the game Pushmo was always meant to be. It's just that much more challenging and rewarding, and the gravity element translates to a non-3D view better than would Pushmo on the Wii U.

Still, both games are some of the best puzzlers one can play at the moment, and I think Crashmo will hold up for a very long time.

I really think Nintendo might be allergic to anti-aliasing.

Please ninten, this clearly isn't a very demanding game, just throw some AA on top!

Nintendo blowing their E3 megatons ahead of time. Sheesh.

What a truly negative way to look at this things, damn man.

Why can't it be that this is small compared to what they have instore for E3?

I saw that too, I just don't get it, but this is a completely different dev than thier 1st party studios.

Great! I had a few regrets about selling my 3DS and not being able to play Pushmo was one of them, the biggest one of them. So this is something I'll buy day one.

A while back, in a thread far away, there was a discussion about one of the major companies making a Minecraft Clone. I offered this.

This needs to happen. But not from any of the "usual suspects."

It needs to be a game on the Wii U from Intelligent Systems and it needs to star Mallo from PushMo/CrashMo.

They could call it "BuildMo" or "BeMo" or "MoWorld."

I dunno. Just.. those games are already about building and solving puzzles. Why not add an interesting twist to it? It's a 3D world with full 3D movement. The various 'Mo's have different properties, weights, and so forth. You'd be building 3D tanagrams or puzzles of your own by building 'Mo's out of "MoParts." MoParts would be various types of minerals. You mold them into special parts with molds that are buried in the ground and need to be found. You color them by growing flowers that you harvest for dyes.

Also, combat would be fending off things that want to steal the 'Mo's from your amusement park. Or things that would hurt your MoParts. There are giant beetles that want to eat your flowers. There are birds that carry off your minerals. Rabbits that eat your flowers. Naughty kids that try to take your 'Mo's or minerals, requiring you to catch them and carry them out of your park. Now, some of the kids in the parks will pay you for constructing cool things. You can use those to buy special minerals from that old Grandpa guy.

You'd have things you had to build to put together your park, but once you complete those objectives, you unlock a mode where you would be free to build whatever you wanted. You could also design custom 'Mo's that you swap via the MiiVerse or via QR codes. The idea is to build an amusement place, 'Mo' by 'Mo,'

Nintendo is the best equipped for this, I think. Imagine decorating your custom 'Mo's on the Game Pad, then figuring out what parts you'll need to make those.'Mo's a reality.

I may have over thought this.

I hope this game does well, I'm going to buy it day ONE, and that.. someday... Nintendo makes this franchise into something like what I described above.

I can't wait to see everyone's creations!

If only this could finally stop people from claiming that Nintendo hasn't had a new IP/series in 20 years....

I have Pushmo, but never got around to getting Crashmo. I'll have to think on this one, but at this rate, it feels like Nintendo's E3 is one of those chemical reactions that ends up bubbling outside of the graduated cylinder, and we're traveling through the overflow. The number of major announcements at this point is getting quite ridiculous, in a good way!

Either Nintendo's performing some kind of all-in bluff to give us all hype highs before a disappointing E3, or their E3 is going to be their best in quite a long time. Based on the stuff we already 100% know will be there, though, I'm leaning closer to the latter.

SMH at all the people thinking this is a port or remake. It's like 3D World all over again.

I don't blame them. It doesn't look all that fresh. To be honest I kind of wish Intelligent Systems would have done something else than a third Pullbox game. At least the sequel to the first game spiced up things a bit but this time around I'm not seeing it.

Still haven't played Fallblox but I will, and then I'll get this. I can see at least one new mechanic - all-in, all-out blocks where if you move one, all move.

I wonder why this was announced now, just a fortnight before E3?

Maybe they feel that E3 reveal wouldn't give people enough heads up? It does release only a mere week after E3 after all.

i thought it was an upgraded port just because the tutorial stuff looks exactly like the 3ds game. i'm not even sure it's not a port, despite the name.

they probably didn't want this to overshadow the smaller announcements.

Isn't it obvious? They want people to be hyped for the Mallo Smash Bros reveal!

Kind of wish they went straight to Crashmo. Pushmo feels restricting once you've gone Crash.

Then again I couldn't make it but halfway through either, so maybe the easier one is better!
