I really like the design this character has. What a great choice.
When is H. Miku getting added to SF?
I wonder if Mika will have a turquoise hair alt.
I know if this was an ASW game she sure would, lmao
I like Mika, but dudes. She's literally wearing a thong. You can't be legitimately confused at those who don't want to support every female character in the game being unapologetic fanservice.
How about having (at least) one Makoto for every Cammy, though? Would that really be too terrible? Is it really too much to ask? (I love Cammy BTW).Not confused. Disagree with sex appeal necessarily being wrong.

One sided sex appeal is wrong. So either neuter it or give women some Jojo like characters lol.Not confused. Disagree with sex appeal necessarily being wrong.

They aren't really pandering designs.. They may be attractive characters, but they aren't posing for the female gaze (if that even exists in media lol). But I don't really want to tread over this argument in this thread for the 50th time...Roster hasn't been revealed yet.
You mean, like Vega? Or Necalli? Two characters whose designs could easily be in Jojo?
Okay, done.
Maybe if they give Urien a crotch thrust attack lol. But Urien is really about male power fantasy so I'm sure Capcom wouldn't want to add a crotch thrust. It's kind of interesting how people are all for women showing and expressing their sexuality as a sign of power, but we haven't really seen any male characters do that who are considered strong male characters..Cross your fingers for Urien, he basically is a pillar man. It's rumored to either be him or Karin anyways, and she is a rather classy female.
Beat me to it.More footage of Combofiend playing R Mika at PAX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6dWb0gCJug

I guess you're right that he thrusts his crotch in the win pose, I'll give you that. But Necalli I don't see at all.Go watch an episode of "Free!", then tell me if "female gaze" exists.
Also, you have no idea what the intention behind the designs of Vega, Urien, or Necalli are. Your argument basically boils down to "they aren't designed to appeal to women, because they couldn't possibly be design to appeal to women." The basis of your argument seems to be the conclusion of your argument.
Uhh...Vega thrusts his crotch directly at the camera during his win pose. For the straight male, obviously.
The ultimate option select!
Female does it -> Male Gaze
Male does it -> Male Power Fantasy

Dat Cockney Birdie.
Every frame that passes by offends me.
Actually I'm aware of Bioshonen men lol,but I can see that King of Fighters has a little more fan service in that regard. You're right that SF doesn't seem to appeal to that other than a couple characters. Either way I feel we would probably never have the equivalent male version of Mika.Sorry for the quasi double quote on you but this sentence brought an interesting thought, since I originally came just to joke about Jojos. But I when I gave this a thought, this actually is a common trope within anime/manga. It's the bishonen, who normally are pretty strong and central heroes. For example if you play Blazblue, the likes of Jin exemplify the bishonen archetype since he is handsome, and gives a lot of fanservice within the game (also has that creepy BIG BROTHER fetish of his). They also know this and merchandise it by releasing official body pillows and stuff like that. King of Fighters does this a lot too. Benimaru is a ladies man who shows off his abs, while he is also a pretty competent fighter, being part of Kyo's Hero Team. Ash Crimson is extremely effeminate and panders while also being canonically winning a lot of fights within the plot.
I think Street Fighter likes to play beefcake more than other fighting games, so you see a lot less slender handsome types of males. Just look at the body mass of the typical street fighter character, pretty much all the females have more defined muscles than Mai. The skinniest character is Dhalsim and he still has defined muscles. I think Remy is the closest to the bishonen in a mainline SF game but he never played it up like Benimaru or Ash for example (and doesn't seem to have much of a personality).
The faces in SFV still feel kind of off, definetely not NRS levels, but they feel dead inside to me.¿And did not offend Necalli? ¿A guy who is only in a loincloth?
PD: Next Alex please Capcom.

They recently fixed Vega's face: http://imgur.com/Ni6WeXyThe faces in SFV still feel kind of off, definetely not NRS levels, but they feel dead inside to me.
I think it's the lighting difference, well I got used to the beefcake faces in SF4 so I guess I will just get used to the butterfaces in SFV. Though the later modes in SF4 had better looking faces.
I'd like to know why you think Necalli is a pandering design? He looks like non-green Blanka to me. About Vega, yeah, he's basically the one male SF character that's canonically attractive (or is there another one?).
Nah, Necalli is more like Yujiro hanma

SRK: What initially drew you to playing Cody in Street Fighter IV?
Karipaku: Cody is so handsome, I loved him at first sight!

I'd agree Chun Li's face suits her, but R Mika's looks odd and so does Cammy. Nash, Ryu, Bison are fine too I guess, much better than SF4.Butterfaces? Chun-li looks downright gorgeous.
Lol, it's no surprise that that Alex artwork was drawn by a woman indeed. I'd probably add the twins, I think Yang is one of the only SF characters I'd find attractive IRL. I don't agree about Urien and Gill, though :x But, different strokes, I guess.Oops, forgot this part.
Ken. Probably Remy. Patricia has a crush on Alex, so probably Alex (check out the artwork from SF3, drawn by a woman BTW:

BTBTW, all the victory screens from SF3 were created by Ms. Kinu Nishimura...including the infamous Elena lose pose)
Gill and Urien are supposed to be "Greek statuesque"...so probably them, too.
I think Charlie isn't supposed to be bad looking, either..
And, according to Karipaku, the female SF4 player from Japan:

Haha I just came across this while googling Yamato Nadeshiko

I hear the twins are quite popular with the ladies. More Specifically yang, not yun for whatever reason.
They don't like the pretty boys if they're top tier. :3I hear the twins are quite popular with the ladies. More Specifically yang, not yun for whatever reason.
So I just googled those names. Wat. That was not very subtle, Capcom!Chicks dig Trowa Barton over Duo Maxwell.
Her nose isn't the same as it is here. They all look like the character art. Mika looks especially like the illustrations of her from A3

Nose is a huge component of a face for me, so it feels off to me for that reason. Let alone her face appears wider and less cut.Uh, are we really going to be pedantic about this
Is it bad that I notice the clipping more than the jiggle?
