So let me get this straight...

I'm gonna get to play:

J-Stars Victory VS
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3
Disgea 5
Persona 5

AND

God Eater Rage Burst

in English

on Ps4

Ps4 is getting better Japanese support than the PS3 did at the same point of its lifetime. Can't wait for the future.

Theres been precedent (One Piece Warriors 2) before for Bamco games to not get released on Vita in the US when it was released in other regions. Wouldn't be that surprised if it came over as PS4 only.
I don't think that's relevant anymore. The Vita version of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 is getting an EU/NA launch. I'd guess that DBZ, SAO, OP: UWR and Tales of Hearts performed to or above expectations in western markets.

Not entirely unexpected tbh but I'm just happy to see it confirmed at last. I had planned to grab the Chinese version but will now wait for the English release instead.

They've said SAO surpassed their expectations. They were very surprised by its success, and it was the top downloaded US vita game of 2014.

Still, it might be worth noting that currently One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 and J-Stars only have retail listings for their PS4 versions.

Yeah, it's surprisingly good so far even though a lot of them are on PS3/Vita as well.

Next week there's that "surprising exclusive" from Famitsu and early February Japan Studio's new game will be revealed. Beyond that, we'll see Level 5's PS4 game at E3.

I'm curious to see what else happens over the year in terms of Japanese support. Arc System Works claims this will be the year they "really take off". I'd love to see them make a character action game (directed by Team Red or Team Blue) or announce that new PS4 fighting game IP they said they were working on.

Famitsu preview is out:

- 2x special interviews:

1. Kobayashi (Capcom-Dragons Dogma) x Baba (Bamco-Tales of)
2. Ichimura (Square Enix-Dragon Quest) x Yokoyama (Sega-Yakuza)

- Interviews will have some surprising information to share

- A scoop on a very suprising brand new exclusive game
Not sure if this is related, but zero said this before ^ that post.

YES!!!!!

I hope the Vita version is released since that's the one I want. Namco has gotten so much better with localising their games.

Still hoping for that Dragon Quest Heroes announcement
Sony is to talk about it at Taiwan game show, so localization over there is pretty much given. And if Chinese version is coming out I don't see any reason English version never coming out either, so..

Who knows
Well Bandai Namco in general has been putting a lot more effort into the Asia region in general lately, but as you mentioned yes this does at least help show that there will be an English version.
Yeah I thought that this was just for Asia version. Though at this point I don't doubt that this is getting localized

only question is who will be doing localization/publishing

D3? Did the PSP version that was released in the West right? Though I would imagine now that BanNam will do it themselves considering all the other titles they have brought to the West lately.

Localization doubt we will ever know, since they usually do not announce that.

Seriously whoever decided to name it to "Gods Eater" needs to get his ear clipped.

A slightly off-topic question: does GE2RB require you to have already played GEB storywise?

We're getting a retail release for One Piece. I'd say getting this one at retail is posible :)

Yes, I think it was D3 who released it in the West.

Yes, well not exactly but you would enjoy it more if you did if you cared about the story / setting.

Granted its a different location and a lot of the supporting cast is different, the story is still connected.

Does this "connection" you mentioned ruin an GE2RB-only experience? I'm asking this question because if it was localized, I'd like to directly dip into the sequel without playing the original title(or trying it if I will really like GE2RB), and I don't want to lose track of the plot or not getting some relevant parts of the game.

There will be some things that you will not understand yes. Will be harder to go backwards too from GE2RB to GEB due to the gameplay improvements in GE2RB not being present in GEB.

Am not saying you really HAVE to play the first one but it will be a personal call you will have to make depending on how much plot connectivity matters to you.

They'll probably going to release english asian version along with western versions.

Hopefully we'll get other remaining Namco games in west too: Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth, Earth Defense Force V2 and Tales of Innocence R.
