I'd say the conference itself was in the middle, between a 4.5-6.5/10. Not great, not terrible, but OK. I think $500 + tax + XBL Gold fees + limited/no possibility to re-sell games + no rentals = tough sell, so I'd say the XBO console/ecosystem itself is closer to a 2/10 for me personally.

3/5 Decent in terms of games Some of the games seem way too similar. All these massive FPSs may cause a bit of market saturation. A lot of people on different message boards talk about how good Ryse looks but I am not seeing it, looks like another God of War clone to me, but MS could have done way worse. Still not convinced to buy one at launch, but at least it looks to have some decent games to start off with.

3. Not terrible. Plenty of games, just almost none I care about.

The Elephant in the Room not being addressed should probably eat 2 more points off of this, but I don't care to get labeled a troll.

The fact that AAA games will remain essentially the same game with new paint was expected.

6/10 on content (games+price etc.), but apart from the technical hiccups it was a very slick conference without the typical annoying non-game segments and a big kudos to MS for that.

As a conference it was one of the best I've seen in terms of actuaally showing off gameplay. However, the actual games didn't really excite me at all. DR3 looked completely devoid of the charm that made the first two "fun". Also shooters, racing, and fighting games do nothing for me so I really didn't care about any of the exclusives (Insomniac's game looks pretty though, not sure how the game will end up looking in the end though).

I wasn't planning on getting an XBone anyway so I guess I should be glad that the exclusives didn't blow me away, but for some reason I was disappointed.

3/5

Somewhat decent, most of my excitement was for multiplatform titles. Titanfall was the only "exclusive" that looked great to me but I probably play it on PC. Not sure yet.

Always online DRM bullshit soured me a bit and the conference was a bit too shooter heavy, but all in all decent. Too bad MSoft already screwed things earlier.

objectively? maybe a 3.5/5. A bit above average, focused entirely on games. Just wasn't particularly interested in most of what they showed except that rogue-like indie game.

Really though, honestly? LOL$499DRM/10

all i really remember is below, something about sunset and a explosion cloud that took the form of "boom"... and swery, but IGN is saying its a kinect based experience? o___o

7/10. Lots of games, most of which looked decent. Points lost for awful UK price, a lack of true innovation, and things scripted within an inch of their lives.

In truth, it could have been a 10/10 and still wouldn't reversed my opinion on the console. The DRM and online stuff is a bona fide deal-breaker.

There was pretty much nothing in that conference that appealed to me, outside of Metal Gear.

$499 is almost PS3 level bad, but at least I could borrow games with that console.

3/5

I really appreciate the non-stop showing of games, well done. Unfortunately not a lot of these games were interesting to me but that's ok, it still looks like a good launch. Then came the price... Definitely not what I was expecting.

Great conference, aside from the price and a few shitty looking games (Ryse and Battlefield 4, for example, ugh).

But aside from that, a LOT of games, if only they were always like this..

2/5

- The exclusive games don't appeal to me (mostly shooters/war simulators).
+ The multiplat games do appeal but well, they're multiplats
- Most of the game footages were just short choppy video.
- $499
- DRM not explained.

It was better than i thought but fluffed with many multiplats. As a matter of fact the games that interested me the most were both multi. MGS5 and Witcher 3 (which looks awesome!)

2/5

They certainly had a lot of games but the only exclusives that looked really great were Below, Sunset Overdrive and TitanFall. Dead Rising looked okay too I guess.

The Isomniac one was actually the biggest deal for me, really disappointing it won't be on PS4.

Ryse looked good graphically but the game wasn't interesting at all. Forza 5 looked really good actually, that was another impressive one. But in general I was a little underwhelmed by the graphics on display.

And then...the bombshell. $499 (that's FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY NINE BRITISH POUNDS to me), holy fucking shit. Way too expensive. They are getting undercut HARD by Sony this evening.

Games B
Price D
They also loose marks for not their bullshit policies

What's clear is that the rumors that MS is 6 months behind in game development may be true. There were a lot of teasing, with very little gameplay for many games.

Thought it was pretty good, myself. Not every game interested me but I loved the focus on games.

Balls in your court Sony. For the love of God don't show montage after montage.

7/10.

5/5

Very impressed with the graphics of the games shown. 60fps BF4! 60fps Halo! 60fps Titanfall! Fucking nice! And Killer Fucking Instinct, motherfuckers!

$500 is what I expected but MS needs to eat more money and drop it $100.

2/5

There was too much play-acting and canned footage; the price is ridiculous; and a lot of the games seem dry tbh.

And they didn't even address to any of the major issues everyone's talking about; DRM talk and showing the benefits of having the 24-hour online check would have been nice.

MS should have saved the money they spent with Insomniac and securing Dead Rising 3 and secured MGS5 and Witcher 3 as exclusive.

Conference was a 6.5/10.
Nothing amazing. Quantum Theory was the only exclusive surprise and we didn't even see gameplay.

$500...Too little MS, way too little to defend what is coming.

blew their load on the onset, MGSV everything else, from shooter rising to insomniac's "only possible with the xboxone" bomb in the making really fell flat..the price took the wind out of everything..Sony's move.

7/10

It would've been an easy 9/10, if I didn't have all that clusterfuck at the back of my mind all the time. Everytime they showed something, a voice inside my head whispered: "yes, yes, BUT...!"

I'm kind of glad it wasn't enough to overshadow the debacle.

3/5

Props to Microsoft for cutting the bullshit from previous years conferences. The games themselves looked interesting and outside of the audio problems, the conference played out smoothly, no overly long game demos or anything of that sort. However, the price and them not addressing the DRM problems really brought the conference down for me.

Great conference. They promised games and they delivered. 3/5

BUT the DRM is still out there and getting scarier by the day. And $499? bwhaha..Not saying it's a bad price, I expect the PS4 to maybe being the same. But $499 with weak HW? Horrible DRM? XBLG required (rumored but i expect everything to be behind the paywall anyways). No thanks MS.

3/5.

Good:

Ryse looked cool.
Twitch will matter.

Undecided:

Halo CG looked cool, but was just CG.
Crimson Dragon kinda sucked in its original form, not jumping on the bandwagon yet.

Everything else:

Not exclusive or meh.

I think this E3 is Sony's to lose at this point, though I'm hoping Nintendo blows minds tomorrow.

People made fun of the TV TV TV NFL TV TV NFL NFL TV TV conference, so it's due to give them credit for this GAME GAME GAME GAME GAME conference.

4/5

1 Point deduce for the price.

3/5. They brought the games and didn't bore us with numbers, Usher dancing or a bunch of kinect garbage. But having said that I didn't see much that interested me. KI3 was amusing. Dead Rising 3 was my favorite exclusive shown but it's Capcom will it stay an exclusive for long? Titan Fall looked great but not really my type of game. Also the price was a bit much for me and they didn't address DRM at all. So decent but nothing amazing.

3/5.

I think it was a pretty good conference, but its exclusives didn't surprise (except for maybe KI) Also, $500 + $60 (not even talking about buying games of course) which is basically required to have access to 99% of what the machine can really do, no thanks. Kept my feelings about their DRM scheme out of the equation. Essentially, very few new ideas. Just the old tried and true, stuff we already know about or presented in a style we're all accustomed to.

Yeah sorry ... no.

The only exclusive game that interests me is Dead Rising 3, and i hope that Capcom will be Capcom and make the game multi.

For me, sony has an easy time delivering better than MS .... really easy.

Oh yeah, how about no to 500 Euro for draconian DRM and mandatory kinect.
