2/5
The truly exclusive titles don't interest me, and asking that price (particularly in Europe) for the hardware you get is ridiculous.

I'd give a solid C or around a 3/5.

Glad to see them focusing almost entirely on games. Even if a lot of them were bland shooters, there were some gems in there too. Held my interest for most of it.

The best games were multiplatform in my opinion: MGSV and the Witcher 3 both looked fantastic. Titan's Fall looked fun but unoriginal and visually unappealing.

Among the exclusives, Below and Sunset Overdrive stood out. I love Sunset Overdrive's artstyle and focus on parkour, and more rougelikes, especially from the creaters of Swords and Sorcery.

Technical difficulties were amusingly awkward, showcasing the infinite power of the cloud well.

The price absolutely skewered the console though. FOUR HUNDRED NINETY-NINE US DOLLARS, damn. Killed the mood and ended on a very sour note. Certainly not picking up an Xbone now.

Overall, still the best from Microsoft in recent years, even if the inflated price and drm issues compeltely turn me off.

It wasn't enough of a saving grace to change my mind: I want Microsoft out of this industry now.

They showed the games I expected a MS console to have: shooters, western games. So all I really took away was the heart-stopping price tag. This industry just can't be truly healthy again until we're down to mass consumer prices.

Decent conference that didn't excite me. I like that it appears they're expanding their games portfolio.

It was a tall order to get me excited with the Oculus Rift/Star Citizen elephant in the room. I'm dropping at least $500 there without even considering the new PC I'm planning. Still, $499 seems unreasonably high for that box.

2/5 for exclusives and announcements, 4/5 for third party content.
Metal Gear Solid V, Battlefield 4 and The Witcher 3 looked amazing. Ryse looked incredible, but the gameplay appeared uninspiring. Too many trailers, not enough live demos. Smoke and mirrors.

I commend them for not sacrificing precious screen time for Kinect gimmicks.

3/5

Lots of games shown, some looked pretty cool but nothing mind blowing (to me at least). Was disappointed that it seemed like not much gameplay was shown for exclusive titles. Price is pretty much what I expected, but was surprised that they announced it at all.

6/10

They showed a ton of games which I'm happy about Unfortunately those games didn't excite me whatsoever.

It's was an above average conference.

3/5. Did a good job with the games, but not enough to make me overlook all the shit leading up to this.

$499 pretty much undid the majority of it though. Glad no Mirrors Edge 2 exclusivity.

There was nothing there to excite me. Sunset Overdrive gave me some good vibes, but other than that... nope. Still not getting one.

It was good. Want to play Dead Rising 3 and Crimson Dragon. Not getting one at launch, though. Too expensive. Great to see Witcher 3 and MGSV there, though I'm getting those on ps4.

3/5

I like that they showed a lot of games, but it almost felt forced with some game trailers that barely showed anything and very little talk and passion in between. Yeah it's about the games and they really wanted to show everyone they're listening, which is great, but it went all so fast and from one game to the other, they even talked fast.

Plus, not a lot of gameplay on the exclusive games. Still a decent to good show.

Edit: was I the only one that noticed the Forza guy copying the DriveClub guy on stage? Minus the enthousiasm?

Great conference. Showed plenty of new games and a bunch seemed quite interesting. Didn't expect a price announcement, so that's good. Price is bad, which is good.

Unfortunately most of the games shown are apparently Xbox One exclusive, so I won't be playing them.

GAF is croaking. Maybe this time it'll actually post. Nope. What about now? Nope. Now?

2/5. I'm only excited for the multiplatform games, no vision, no one convinced me that Kinect is worth ANY of my time.

$499! They really learned nothing from Sony. It's shocking.

It was decent. They showed games at least and didn't focus on much bullshit like they have in previous years. Most of the games they showed didn't really do much for me, but that's just probably me getting old. Still, all in all I can't complain too much.

Acceptable. Tons of games, new IPs, and minimal time wasting. Points lost for zombie fatigue, awkward banter, and the best stuff shown being multiplatform.
7.5/10

I give it a solid 3.

I think they did right about the content they focused on, which is a first for MS since about the last 4 years now.

I just didn't care much for what that content was.

3/5. Terrible exclusives (lol KI, looked weak besides I don't even remember it being a good fighting game in the first place), best games were multiplat. Holy shit at the price lol. MS sending that console off to die overseas.

Some of the games looked pretty cool, most of the good ones are multi-plat anyway.

Didn't spend time on Kinect functions, but I don't feel like they should get bonus points for that since they shouldn't be spending a lot of conference time on Kinect games in the first place, they can be shown off and demo'd better elsewhere.

Lot of cloud talk on the games that actually are pure exclusive.

New game service to balance out PS+, but with even older games.

Nothing to balance out the DRM, or make it even slightly more palatable (like detailing the sharing among 10 family members favorably while ignoring the rest).

Enormous amount to live up to this year. Going into a new console generation with the XBone and PS4 head-to-head, a lot of unfavorable DRM policies confirmed for their platform. While some of the games were pretty cool, it doesn't really feel like they came even close to living up to even the hype they set themselves, nevermind challenging the hype Sony has going.

$499 price point.

6/10

I gave it a point for having decent pacing and a solid amount of games, including some that aren't particularly aimed at mainstream audiences like D4 or Below. Unfortunately a lot of the games were not particularly impressive, there were multiple technical issues during the event, the price disappoints, and a total evasion of the issues surrounding the platform going into the event left those serious concerns totally unadressed.

Ryse in particular got a lot of focus for such a weak looking title, especially in an event supposed to be more aimed at core gamers. It doesn't surprise me that Ryse started out as a Kinect-focused title just looking at the gameplay clip they presented.

The conference was very solid, but i dont think there was anything i'm going to miss because i will certainly not buy a Xbox. Still they showed a good list of games, so i give them props for that. Price is an issue, but lets wait what Sony does.

8/10

No Fallout 4. No Crackdown. And MC wearing monk robes despite being encased in a suit of armor. Even the KI reveal was blah. Oh, and a $499 price point. Overall, my grade is Meh +.

Ok, that Halo dig was a bit petty, but it is indicative of my general indifference towards the series at this point. And this is coming from someone who watched the Halo 3 reveal trailer about 10 times the day it was released. I don't think I saw a single game that even got me mildly excited, let alone my heart racing.

The games all look very solid, but even standing alone that conference was disappointing. Factor in the controversy about Kinect, always online and it costing $500 and I'm not even going to feel a twinge of disappointment when I skip this launch.

2/5
Games? Yeah, there was some strong selling points (MGS5), but they're all was multiplatform. Exclusive games? Meh. I'm not a big fan of Killer Instinct. New Halo is very promising though. Cortana chip memo and stuff. Touching.

But the price! 500 euros (russian price will likely be higher), ass-tight DRM and no ownership of game copies...

Well, i say - screw you. Halo 5... Well, yeah. But still no.

Voted for 4/5, because they really showed games, games & games and not even only shooters.
Not interested in too many of the exclusives, but i'm rating only the show here.

positive:

  • Games, Games, Games
  • No Kinect-exclusives/crap
  • Not only shooters, also some love for smaller games
  • Quantum Break
  • Dead Rising 3
  • The Witcher 3
  • MGS V
  • Sparks Project

negative:

  • their "one last thing" Titanfall was meh and already leaked
  • Killer Instinct didn't really look that cool like I would have imagined and they treated it as a B/C-Title.
  • too much "the power of the cloud"-talk.
  • price of the console

Much better than the original reveal, lots of games, but only a few exclusives I'm into; and tbh I don't even know how many of these are just limited exclusives, like D4, Sunset Overdrive, Below, Titanfall. I can see these coming to PC and PS4 eventually. But pretty cool show all around, it was evenly filled with presenters and games.

But the failure to acknowledge everything that happened in the past few weeks, and the existing restrictions we know of just don't make it appealing enough, still.

3/5 For the dark MS cloud over the whole thing, failure to address critical issues people have, tons of awkward forced talks, interested in one or two exclusives. But lots of games, no bullshit kinect demonstrations, wasn't front or back-loaded, pretty evenly distributed.

So much to hate about the console and Microsoft's approach to games as a business, but god damn if that wasn't the exact template of how I want these conferences to go.

Best moment: The Chief + War Sphinx
Second and third and fourth best moments: 60fps, TitanFall, 60fps
Confused moment: Ryse combat is all QTEs? What the hell?
Worst moment: Sunset Overdrive. Insomniac, you have truly lost the plot. Bad name, horrid logo. And I don't believe your CGI trailers anymore.
Hilarious moment: $499. HAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHA

2/5 (-1 for tech difficulties)

MGS5 looked great, and yay Killer Instinct but not much else interested me and that £429, no.

Had it not been for the absolutely shameful DRM that is stopping me from going near this thing with a 10 foot barge pole... I'd actually have been quite impressed with the conference. No filler, lots of interesting looking games. Like the Xbox brand used to be in the good old days.

7/10 for the games. 1/10 for the console they're running on.

It was pretty good, so I went with a 3/5.

The most interesting games to me (Swery's game, Quantum Break, Insomniac's game) were glossed over, or seemed too early to show real footage.

The games that were most heavily emphasized looked incredibly generic to me (Forza, Ryse, Battlefield, Titanfall). The lone exception was Dead Rising, which looks really fun.

It was solid, but I didn't see enough from the exclusive lineup to push me to get that for $500 bucks at launch.

They showed a ton of games and not one person up there waiving their arms with Kinect. All this poll tells me if that a lot of people were going to rate this conference low no matter what

2/5, better than the reveal but not by much.
No interesting games really. Titanfall was the most interesting but it plays things too... safe.
Technical issues.
The fucking price.
Obviously staged/scripted "playing".

And the price was the third nail and final into Xbox One's coffin as far as i'm concerned.
Weak machine and the reveal, then the fucking DRM, and now the price. Yeah, no.
