Because its much more impressive for me to tell someone I'm 220lbs of muscle instead of 15.7 stoneWhy do you people no do weight in stones?
Yeah, it's dangerous to loose the weight because other fun bits seem to go with it. 125-135 also sounds about perfect for 5'7" to me.

Fine. 7 stones. <--- see? It looks silly just typing it.
Why do you people not do weight in stones?
Growing up I never broke 165. Then my mid twenties came and I hovered around 185 for awhile. Now in my 30's 205.
Disturbing trend.

I think the real question is why we don't use the metric system, it actually makes sense

135 is nice and the weight I'm actually most used to (that was how much I weighed when I was a teenager!) 125 though... that was when I lived in Japan and couldn't afford food/trains so I barely ate anything and walked everywhere. I'm sure if I did something like low carb I could get down there again, but some foods I don't think I could give up regardless...
What's your height/weight (if I may ask)? And, I hear you on the mom thing. The more they tell me to eat the more I watch my weight to make sure it doesn't go up.![]()

Niiice, I like how the color pallet is the same as your av, lol. Best one yet.I made a shitty attempt based off of Devo's design

You're pretty damn tall, though. Is it from lack of exercise? Eating? Just metabolism dropped off?<--- This one seems to be the case for a lot of us over 30.
Haha, stones. And people think we have idiotic measurements in the US!
Hm, apparently I'm 9.64 st.
I have failed to shit bricks. What am I supposed to see?
So I was thinking of making a First Name February, first letter of your username only in your av, like I have. How many would be interested? I think it's more inclusive too.
sounds like me. I played 3 sports growing up, played soccer for 16 years! I weighed about 170 in high school, 210 in college, now at 145.I'd say these two. When i was younger I played basketball all day every day. I actually ate horrible(all junk food) but I exercised so much I was rail thin and cut up. But I dropped basket ball in my twenties and though it hung up for awhile I slowly started gaining weight to spite eating much better. Luckily it's not bad for 6'3 but I'm on a mission to get to 205 and have most of it be muscle the second time around.
It's so hard to give up the rice/bread/beer... ;_; When I was dieting I was miserable without that stuff. 135 is still a perfect weight for your height (damn you, tall girls!)(j/k).
Actually, you stole your measurement ideas from the British. Stone isn't a metric measurement actually. That would be Kilograms![]()
5'9", and I was 167 at the very end of December. I usually keep myself fairly close to 150, which seems the healthiest weight for me.
For reference, my peak was 210 back in mid-2003, and I dropped down over the subsequent year to 140 then started doing weightlifty stuff.

Cost of new signs and reeducation would be a nightmare that can be avoided with a simple conversion. Maybe when our country is not in crippling debt.
EDIT: HP is over 30?
Do they measure height in sticks?

Nice change up, but I think you missed the memo. You must balance something on your head, most anything will do. (Or you can do a creepy shot like Ezalc. ^_-)
I turned 30 back in September, so I'm halfway to 31.

Did I ever say stone is metric? I did not! I know the metric system quite well, thank you. And we may have taken a lot of the imperial units, but only the good ones.
I'd be more interested, but
1) My first name is too damn common
2) Nobody calls me by my first name anymore
I'd love to see it in action, though.

You must only be 3 sticks tall.
Hmm. I could claim I'm leering at my hot 12 year old cousin just out of frame, but that might be an error in judgement.
Sentry said I was 'vintage' on IRC, the little bastard. 1981 was a good year.
You weigh less now than in High school? That's crazy. Or was that a typo?

150-155 actually sounds pretty fit to me. I can see why they'd be shocked after you lost so much weight, though. 140 is definitely too low for your height. Mine probably reacted similar to yours because it was the same sit. Too drastic, so all they see is super skinny. But, yeah, a fit 150-155 is a good weight.

Nice. If we're forced to gain weight, then it might as well be muscle weight. Have you considered taking up more sport now? Also, you and Dave should engage in a clash of titans as he is also a 6'3" giant!
nope, I weight less now. Even when I was so active I always carried a little 'baby fat' on my body. It actually helped with sports because people would under estimate me. It was quite funny when I was a freshman on the varsity soccer team, watching videos of the games during video sessions, I was so tiny compared to everyone else on the field.
Now I eat more than I ever have, get no exercise, yet weigh less than I ever have. feels good man
