The NeoGAF Top Anime results thread is waiting for you. It's a few years out of date by now, but is still full to the brim with anime recommendations, both listed in the first post and throughout the thread.
Hm, maybe we need a new one once 2010 is done.

Yesterday is was "Suggest me".
Today it's "Recommend me".

"Recommend me" is incorrect.
"Recommend to me" is correct.

If you don't like the way it sounds, change it to some other form.
- "Recommend some anime to me."
- "Give me some anime recommendations."
- "What anime would you recommend to me?"
- "What anime would you recommend?" (Here, the "to me" is implied and can be left out as it is (grammatically) unambiguous.)

As for recommendations - are you looking for one-offs / short series, or long series?

Hellsing (preferably the OVA's, but if u watch them first its hard to go back and watch the series cause the OVA's are just plain amazing)
Gundam Wing
Gundam 00 (Season 2 is the first season of Gundam to be aired in HD so it looks super awesome)
FLCL (only 6 episodes though, but great)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (Very old, but very good. When you finish the series watch the OVA's. I know you can find #1, #2 is hard to find a good copy though; but the art is amazing in them)
Deathnote (Gurren Laggan and this sit in my top 10 together)
Bleach (Fillers are kinda boring, but it can keep u busy for awhile 260 episodes if you watched subbed, save it for last cause there is alot of good anime)
Gungrave (Starts off kinda slow in my opinion but still good)
Blue Gender (Good, gets better like 5 episodes in, but it takes some weird turns later but holds up well for its 1 season)
Code Geass ( Alot like Deathnote, but mix in giant robots here and there. If you love a smart and sly main character this is for you. R2 is crazy and good but is alot different)
Zegapain (Relatively unknown new anime as far as i know, I loved it and suggested it to a few friends. Again its got fighting mech's but with some extremely interesting twists especially at the end)

Me Fail English? That's Unpossible!

Erm well im not fussed really. 30 or so is the sweet spot but if its good (like One Piece) I will watch up to 100 I suppose.

Hell yes.
I'd also recommend Kaiba, it's similar to Mononoke in that they're both kinda abstract and experimental. And awesome.
I need to watch Kaiba actually.

Can I be even more of a pain and ask for pics :lol

Ippo I looked into, Brave Story looks ok, is it a film?
Mononoke isnt that a ghibi film? I think my gfs sister has that. Its probably one of the only ones I haven't seen.

Ippo starts off slow, but after the first few eps I seriously considered getting an Ippo tattoo.

Mononoke is great too btw.

Princess Mononoke and Mononoke are two VERY different things.

(The first one is the Ghibli movie, both are highly recommended).

If you liked Cowboy Bebop, you should really check out Samurai Champloo. It is directed by the same person and like Bebop is episodic yet satisfying and highly stylish with great music and a light, fun vibe to it.

I just started watching Planetes. It seems really really good so far.

Certainly isn't the most action packed series, but the setting is something different and the characters seem well written and interesting so far.

Ahh ok, from the wiki it sounds interesting!
This Fooly Cooly is fucking batshit insane thats all im saying :lol

Not a Jellyfish

but I am a sheep
Based on what you have listed I think you would like:

Hellsing
Gungrave
Claymore (reminded me of Berserk)

If you are looking to widen your interest try:

Honey and Clover
Now and Then, Here and There

Don't bother with D.Gray Man.

You could start by watching Baccano and Mononoke. Baccano is the same author as Durarara, so same style of storytelling, but in America. Mononoke is a beautiful mindfuck.

Then I'd just check out anime by their studios. Generally, Manglobe, I.G., Madhouse, and Bones all do good work. I'd recommend Gainax but they haven't come out with anything truly new in the last four years.

Thats the one I was forgetting! even said I was going to check it out.
Again this FLCL is just meting my mind :lol

If you want comedy with any episode you can jump into and not get lost with it's story since each episode is it's own mini story:

Take Alexandre Dumas's classic adventure novel, set it 3000 years into the future, give the animators loads and loads of drugs, and you've got one of the best shows of the decade. If you don't believe me, watch the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bE1oBOSX4co
(24 episodes, I believe)

Kaiba
kaiba-1b.jpg

A short series with an art style based of the manga/anime of the 1950s. Very abstract. You might like it. (12 episodes, I believe)

Moyashimon: Tales of Agriculture
moyashimon-01.jpg

This is one that doesn't get talked about a lot, but should. How to explain...So these two best friends go to Tokyo Agricultural University because they are both involved in their family's business making sake. One of them has the ability to see microbes with his naked eye (they appear as strange, anthropomorphic creatures). It may sound weird, but it's awesome, and kind of educational, too. You'll learn about all sorts of things, like strange foreign food, how to make bootleg-ass booze, athlete's foot, food poisoning, seal anuses, and more! Too bad it's only eleven episodes. The opening and end credits are awesome, too. Just sayin'.

No, the preposition is dropped when the indirect object is placed before the direct object. You would write "recommend some anime to me" or "recommend me some anime."

Not to thread jack but is there anything out there that's similar to Sailor Moon?
I've already seen Tokyo Mew Mew and loved that too.

Or is there anything with like Relationship/Life theme like Clannad, Love Hina or Sazuka?

Surprised no one mentioned Ghost in the Shell yet.

Personal favorite I would recommend is Mushishi.

You mention Suzuka but not Honey & Clover? I feel conflicted. If you haven't seen Honey & Clover, then you should watch that. I also recommend Nana. Full Moon Wo Sagashite too since you said Love Hina and Clannad.

I've seen a movie by that title and I knew of a live action Drama, didn't know it was an anime. I should have guessed though. I'll definitely check it out. thanks.

Far as magical Girl shows. Check out Princess Tutu, might also want to try Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Relationship shows. Also try Utena. Toradora! is also great.

I'm surprised Kaiba is getting so many mentions here already. Add my vote too.

At least you didn't watch the anime Winter Sonata and didn't know there was originally a live action Drama :lol

To add to what DrForester suggested, I recommend Shugo Chara if you want more Mahou Shoujo. But like Sailor Moon? I can't think of one.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
