Red Dead Redemption 2 new trailer coming 28 september, 11AM ET

What are you most looking forward to in the trailer?

I'm not expecting a lengthy gameplay video like those but more of a story and character focused one like the tbe second trailer they did for RDR.

If they do those gameplay trailers i wouldn't expect them until the new year honestly.

Oh god..... last game's online turned into a disaster. Obviously they won't let that happen again, but I cringed a bit when I read that.

I think showing how this game is different from 1 might be important. Like I'm excited for a new Rockstar wild west and story, but I'm more interested in what they're improving on, expanding, etc. than just a look at the story.

So a narrated trailer giving some context on the earlier time period, bigger world, evolved mechanics, and so on would be my ideal reveal

For sure, that's the best case scenario, but if we're getting three playable characters(and I think we are), then this is the right time to introduce them.

I'd be totally fine with that, I personally can't wait to get a deeper look at the world, the first Red Dead is still one of my favorite open worlds in a game.
 
Wholly expecting a three-minute conventional story trailer. We didn't get those narrated RDR ones until the months leading up to release, and we're well out from that.

people often forget about it because we are never looking eleswhere because their games are massive, but Rockstar are tech wizard and their achievements are not praised enough.

RDR and GTA V are master works of tech optimization on last gen. It's just crazy.

At least they redeemed themselves with the PS3 version of GTA5, RDR1 was truly a disastrous port.
 
It's interesting that we only have a date and time. With most other trailers previously they always mentioned it would be a trailer. Maybe it's much more than one trailer and more like a media blowout. So an article on their site or other sites perhaps with screenshots and info and next to that the trailer.

Although, if media had seen the game I'm sure we've heard about that by now.

RDR PS3 is far from a disastrous port. 360 seems and plays better but the PS3 version is totally playable.

If you want to play a disastrous port, play Bayonetta or Orange Box (especially EP2) on PS3.

RDR is only playable because of the Benz but it was so badly put together it means no PC port or remaster.

Hopefully RDR 2 isn't as much of a development disaster.
 
Excited, but already bummed because I fully expect this trailer to end on a black screen that says "Fall 2018".
 
I hope they make these trailers like they did with GTA 5. With the commentator or whatever. So stoked for this game. Too bad its not coming out on PC. Atleast as far as we know :/
 
I hope the Benz reveals his team’s project soon.

In the meantime, this trailer being less than five hours of away seems like a lifetime. We’ve been waiting forever! With every GTA:O update, my heart breaks a little. So many glorious IPs waiting for new life. I’m so ecstatic we’re getting back to the Wild West. Red Dead Redemption was my game of the generation in the 360/PS3 era.

Most likely they will since they did it for RDR. GTA 5 wasn't the first time they did it.

Dunno about the 360 version. But on PS3? It was offset by a horrible framerate and sub-HD resolution. Also helps that the game world was far less populous than your average GTA game. No traffic or crowds of pedestrians.

The 360 version had vastly better image quality, alpha effects (foliage) and framerate.

Edit: I vaguely remember the 360 version being 720p with 2x MSAA.
