I made the words big so no one would get their hopes up and hate me.
NGAMER9 said:I hope there isn't more of this in the review, the proportion was way off on the last one and this looks like even more random live action sketches in the middle of the review. The first one had an alright balance I thought.

That belongs to an anime, or the Matrix, not a Star Wars movie.

Zabka said:Episode III had the worst plot and dialogue of all 3 movies,
but its greatest crime is that it had the most wasted potential. Palpatine revealing himself to the Jedi, General Grievous, Obi-Wan vs Anakin, the eradication of the Jedi, Padme's death, the Darth Vader transformation...all handled so incompetently it felt like bad fan fiction.
And the space scenes at the beginning were fucking awful. Instead of trained Jedis dogfighting in the middle of a capital ship battle we got Anakin scraping robots off Obi-Wan's ship. The only memorable space battle in all 3 prequels was Obi-Wan running away from Jango Fett.
This review would need to be twice as long as the others to accurately critique how terrible this movie is.
Weird hearing Plinkett talk out of character.Zabka said:

richiek said:ROTS is definitely the best of the Prequels, and IMO is better than ROTJ and on par with ANH and ESB. I still do not understand the backlash that the film receives, especially since the fans loved it when it first came out. Hell, it has an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

AOTC is far worse in all these aspects.
ConfusingJazz said:Most importantly: The reasoning behind Anakin turning to the dark side was exceedingly ridiculous.
I remember people cheering when the movie started and absolute dead silence when the movie ended. I've never seen a crowd turn on a movie like that, but the last 20 minutes went from Attack of the Clones boring to The Room levels of stupidity.richiek said:ROTS is definitely the best of the Prequels, and IMO is better than ROTJ and on par with ANH and ESB. From his point of view the Jedi are evil! Please, expand on this. I thought that Anakin's motivation for turning to the dark side was plausible given the circumstances.

Looking at his past schedule this mean we should get it around New Year. That said, weeee, RotS is on the way![]()
Anth0ny said:Come on now. There is nothing in this movie that comes anywhere close to "I hate sand". It's plot is the only one that isn't a fucking mess. To sum it up, we finally see Anakin become Darth Vader. I don't think I can sum up any of the other prequels in a sentence like that. Hell it wasn't until RLM's review of episode 1 that I understood the plot of that film.

Even bad movies get some small amount of discussion, but it looked like people just didn't care enough to form sentences. Just looks of depression and disappointment.

"Oh no, I'm having a dream of my wife dying in childbirth! I better... explore absolutely no options about this except for sulking. What's that, Dark Lord of the Sith? You can supposedly manipulate life in vague undefined ways? Well you sound sinister and manipulative as a PSA pedophile, but okay!richiek said:Please, expand on this. BTW, when I watched Avatar in IMAX there was no crowd reaction when the credits rolled either.
IMDb gives ROTS a respectable 7.8 rating, so the public and critics like this movie. Seems it's the vocal minority (butthurt SW fans) who bitch about it.
GAF and the internet actually kinda liked Star Trek. And there's tons of people who still like Avatar.BattleMonkey said:The critics and public loved Star Trek reboot, but GAF and the internet detested it. Same thing with Avatar, so much gaf backlash.

What a terrible false analogy.
"The haters" and "vocal minority" are the worst attempts to deflect criticism known to man.BattleMonkey said:The Star Trek Red Letter Media review thread says otherwise.
As with all things on the internet, the haters are always highly vocal. Not saying ROTS was a good movie, none of the prequels are. But people go overboard with this stuff.
and the people who give it a good rating are the blindly loyal SW fans.richiek said:IMDb gives ROTS a respectable 7.8 rating, so the public and critics like this movie. Seems it's the vocal minority (butthurt SW fans) who bitch about it.
