So much fuss for nothing.
Don't worry people!... you only have to sell your kidney and liver, then you have your character maxed out.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Why do you need a maxed out character? Don’t play Diablo or most FTP games. I mean you could probably put 500000$ on basic civic and make it a a damn formula one car but why would you?
Having a formula one car would be the coolest shit.

Meanwhile, playing Diablo Immortal won't get you any puss.

But the thing is, this isn't worrying because we fine people at Gaf have working brains and we know this kinda game is a scam. The thing is there's a lot of people that doesn't, nd what worries me is that Blizzard could make a fuckton of money out of this, other big companies could take note, and then we'll start seeing less and less games and more shit like Diablo Immortal.

Yep.
Next thing you know they'll be charging us for updates to these games.

People are grown ass adults free to do whatever the hell they want with their money. If someone is rich enough or just fucking stupid to spend that much - go for it. Not spending a dime isn't just a valid option, but the only way people are going to make any difference in things like this. God knows people have tried but you're just not going to regulate the industry out of the business model no matter how much forums like to hyperventilate about it.

Are the fully awakened and upgraded legendary gems at least NFT's for maximum value? Because if not $500k-$1,000,000 is a bit on the steep side.

I cry about SonyGaf from my chair in Redmond, WA
Imagine, out of all things in this business, being proud of making the worst monetization, that exceeded the expected greediness of a dev by a large margin.

I think this whole mobile pay to win structure should be outlawed. So many sleezy companies taking advantage of children and others.
I dont think kids are the ones maxing out COD and Diablo characters. It's grown ass numbnut adults using their own credit card.

It's like old school collector's stuff like people hoarding Pokemon cards or Beanie Babies. THe company can churn out way more content than anyone can keep up with buying.

Comes down to whether the company should be regulated because too many people are going broke buying their shit, or just let it be and allow people to be dumb enough to buy it.

Not much different than people going for broke being addicted to casinos. But even government doesn't care as they run them and profit themselves off people going broke.

I agree these practices are shitty. But most practices by any major company tend to be shitty. Maximize profits at all costs. That’s the world we live in. People have to take responsibility for what they spend money on. Casinos are shitty and ruin lives. Should we ban them?

Its horrible. Sad part is that legendary items are tied on how much crest ( chance ) you will fill in the dungeon, which make legendary if not using crest at about 1 drop per night of play like. The fun part is seeing these legendary drop, and the fun part of that is gone except if you invest money.

Sad part is that the game is good, no , very good i can say. Story and end game bosses are 10 time better compare to D3 and enjoyed beating it. But havent gone back to it for over a week now, because its just an eternity grind even if after you beat the game there is still stuff u can do.

D4 better not be a pay to win or else i scream.

If the price is $100,000 or $500,000 does it really matter? I'm out at anything over twenty bucks.
$20? I'm out at $0. Not giving any devs extra money. I'd rather move onto another game than get nickel and dimed.

Last time I bought any kind of mtx or DLC was 10 years ago when I bought one of the MW3 map packs.

The only extra content I've ever bought were 360 era map packs for COD and one for Gears 1. That's it. NO other dub shit like dashboard themes weapon skins, loot crates, EA cards etc... Unless the game is designed as a total grind from day one, most games (including F2P) can be played without paying extra money.

All comes down to every gamer and how much of a completionist they are, and how fast they want to take shortcuts to level up faster.
