Yeah, I stopped being fooled by pictures like the ones in this thread a long time ago. Red heads, all of them, wear a METRIC TON of makeup to hide their complexions/freckles, which are far, far less flattering than the images we see of them at movie premieres or fancy parties.

The Kathy Griffin photos seem extreme, but I've seen red heads IRL without makeup after seeing them with makeup and the difference is dramatic. I like makeup as much as the next guy, but when you start looking like a completely different person (and I say that without exaggeration) that's too much for me.

Interesting point. I've not really thought about how different I look with make up on. Let's put this to the test then. Here are pictures of me with and without make up. Does Gaf think I look that different? And what looks better?

Make up seems to add a lot of boobs.
But seriously, hard to say, different settings, different angles.
I personally dislike woman who plaster their face so the skin looks even, makes it look "fake"

I think you great in both personally. Course I'm not a guy who likes women in a lot of makeup myself.

You'll have to give us shots that are more similar. The second is on a stupid angle and has extremely different lighting.

Well in those pics... Your face looks the same in both.

Both when you're wearing makeup and the outfit... It changes how you look quite a bit.

From plain to Wow. (This is just the outfit actually)

Would be an even more interesting comparison with the same outfit but with makeup and no makeup IMO.

Different? Yes. You have two different angles, two different outfits, and one w/ makeup and one wo/ makeup.

As for what looks better? Who gives a shit what I think. I'm sure there are folks in here who would love more samples though, just to make things more conclusive.

The different angles makes it kind of hard to judge how different you look with and without makeup but as far as I can tell it's not as night and day as some girls I've seen.

Day and night is for women with some nasty acne scars or lots of wrinkles.

Freckles just adds to natural beauty IMO.

This I agree with.

My wife is part Irish and has a red hue to her hair, the freckles (especially during the summer), are icing on a delicious cake.

Exactly. There is nothing wrong with a woman having freckles at all. More so when she's a redhead. For some reason freckles work really well with a natural redhead.
 
That they are! Been with my wife for 7 years, got married this year.

She reminds me a lot of Amy Adams.
