REMake still the best classic RE, needs an HD remaster.

The Resident Evil remake is a masterpiece in how to properly remake a classic. I would love to play an HD port. And because everything is prerendered, it would be a piece of cake to make in run at 60fps in 1080p. Also, I do not think that the assets would need to be completely redone. If Capcom still has all the game's assets on some hard drive, they can easily recode the game to be in HD, just like every other HD collection out there.

I'd rather a RE: 1.5 spinoff with REmake aesthetics in HD. I think I've played RE1 way too many times on too many consoles

Were those really based on the same CG assets though? I don't think you could run those raw assets in full 3D on a Wii.
I´m 80% sure they were the same assets, REUC being on-rails shooter you can hide alot of poligons to save processing. It run just fine on Wii.

Never played REmake. Online retailer here has some copies for Wii in stock (listed as Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil) doesn't sound like there's anything different to the GC version, gonna give it a crack. Currently playing through Deadly Premonition so it will be an appropriate follower.

Is the HD remake of Code Veronica on PSN largely unchanged from the DC game? I totally forgot they released it, but now I want to check it out.

Its an HD version of the PS2 one so you get more content (cutscenes, etc) def. get it as its the longest and most engaging in the series.

Gamecube version on a standard def tv still looks amazing. I tried it in dolphin and the character models, items etc. are a high resolution but the backgrounds look shitty.

I've played the first 2 hours 4 times and that's it.
