Remember Me - Media Blowout [New videos/Screens]

Memory overload

I like that they're replacing blood and gore (usual way of feedback in action games) with errors and glitches.

Dat ass...

Reminds me of Oni. I know a bit about the history of this game and how it came to be, I'm honestly pretty interested in it.

These latest screenshots and artwork are actually better, visually, from it's previous outings. I personally just don't care at all at what I'm looking at.

Nothing looks refreshing or interesting. It just doesn't deliver any impact or "wow" material.

Same syndrome with Fuse, Army of Two: 3, and even Dead Space 3. No "punch."

That's what I'm thinking after watching these videos too. The first one was especially dull; I know it's a small bit of gameplay from the game, but it's a lot of linear climbing parts. I'm going to be a lot more picky this upcoming generation because developers should have a better idea what can be done, and should look towards making games both visually strong and fresh.

Still looks horrible.

Can nothing be reached in this city without climbing on everything?
SYMBOLISM!!!!!

Seriously the upper body strength of this woman is ridiculous. Is she a robot or cyborg?

I wonder why some are so down on this game. I admit that much of my fascination with it is based primarily on its aesthetics, but it at least appears to be trying to do some new things. And it's a new IP, which people always claim to want.

I probably should watch the other trailer because most of the platforming one made it look like another uncharted clone but worse since it told you exactly where to go. Didn't see much in that last big trailer they had a while ago either.

You can create your own combos, that is pretty much a reason to at least try it IMO.

Coming off the recent RE: Revelations thread, this seems to be a common post whenever a female character has her back to the camera :/

It is. Tight jeans, yoga pants, sweats, and military fatigues will yield the same outcome. Even pics of 45 will draw those comments.

1. It's Capcom. Their recent track record on console games has been pretty divisive.
2. It looks really cinematic and there is kind of a backlash against that.

i wish that there was an asscreed type game out there that gave you the ability to walk on ceilings and walls, like that Ghost in the Shell games from years back
, or Gravity Rush

First impression, fighting looks promising. Don't need to be like Bayonetta, but don't be a button-masher either.

The memory parts remind me of Ghost Trick. Do x amount of changes to the scene to solve a puzzle. As long as they aren't too easy or too obvious, I can enjoy it.

I just really hope they don't fuck up the atmosphere. It looks like it could be really promising. This'll be my first cyberpunk game in a while, and I miss the aesthetic.

Looks a lot better than I thought it was going to. Based on what's seen here I'll probably pick it up, unless reviews tell me otherwise.

looks great for sci/fi cyberpunkish.

But seriously. Too much shitty forced platforming that looks boring. *Great looking world with so much going on, yet you are forced over and over to hanging on little ledges, and pipes instead of exploring that world.

*edit

Do tell? Was this game originally pitched to Sony?
PS3 exclusive. Sony dropped it because it probably looked like a bomba and they already signed Heavy Rain at that point. Capcom is only doing this, because the game was probably already half way finished and they got half a game almost for free.

Worried there will be too much brawling. It's being compared to Prince of Persia, and the glut of fighting bogged down some of those games for me.

Some posts are depressing. We always want new IP's, new ideas and new worlds - and yet some have already declared this game as "bomb". I admit that the traversal looks uninspired, but thats not the whole game.

This looks very unique to me, especially visually, and the premise has my attention....I'm in. Even the potentially poor man's Arkham fighting system looks cool to me in an, "I can appreciate it even if it's janky" kind of way.

That is one of the main reasons I'm interested. Remember the last game set in future Paris about being able to hack into peoples' memories? Yeah, me either.

Not just a female, it could also be a very pretty rear of a car, a plane, anything really, nothing offensive about it IMO, but if you find it offensive then I apologyze. not my intention at all.

That's nice of you to say. It's fine to joke about it, it's just so common that it has started to create this weird atmosphere. It's not your fault.

True. The design sets the conditions for the comments, not the people in themselves.

I'm kind of interested in this but I doubt I'll buy it day one. Combat looks janky as hell and the Memory Remixing just looks like dumb trial and error puzzles.

Traversal looks bad and the combat didn't look very good either. The enemies were just standing around watching her pick them apart. Didn't look very smooth in combat either.

New IPs and settings are nice but if they feature the same dumb gameplay then there's no point to me.

Why would French of the near future (next 70 years) start making look Paris so ugly?

The most accurate part of all the screens is the garbage on the lower right part of oen screenshot. Most of Paris streets are way more shitty (literrally) than that.

I get you, and you put reasoning behind it at least, which I actually agree with.
You are the exception though.

Remember me
remember everything we used to be
can you feel my heart pounding, pounding
will be forever, will you
remember you, remember me
I remember everything we used to be
'cause my blood is still pumping, pumping
will be forever, will you remember me.

I'm so fucking fed up with zombies in games.

I was really looking forward to this, but if the best they can come up with is zombie and undead garbage then I'm not really interested anymore.
