Reminder: Nintendo Network Premium/Deluxe Promotion Ends In Less Than One Week!

I was able to pick-up the following games:

-Duck Hunt
-Klonoa: Empire of Dreams
-Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
-Cybernator

Hopefully, I'll be able to earn enough to get some "free" change. By the way, is there anything else you guys can recommend?

They're $15 each?!!

Uh, someone convince me they're worth the price of admission.
Shovel knight is worth the admission because it's a damn good game. I don't get too picky over price below $40 but you'll get your money's worth at $15. It's tough, doesn't hold your hand, requires a great deal of skill. I didn't get a good grasp of it until second runs thru the levels.

Do it, just for a new platformer experience.

I earned almost $35 in credit throughout its run (went more physical than digital) but this was a great promotion. Bought Hyrule Warriors digital earlier so guess I'll use whatever credit I amass on Mario Kart 8 DLC.

Thanks, I had no idea they were ending this promotion. You'd think it would be in their best interest to get people to buy digital.

Need only 35 points and I have no desire to play nes roms or indie games that cost a fraction of the price on PC, so I'm not sure what to do. If I redeem something on Club Nintendo, that counts, right?

Merry Christmas, everyone! Thanks a lot, OP. I hadn't looked recently and had $15 in coups waiting. Ended up buying Duck Hunt and Hyrule Warriors DLC. Stats:

Total Points Earned: 2519pts. I got my Wii U in October.

It was a short (to me), but good promotion. I wish they would extend it to 2015, as I plan to buy quite a few Wii U games next year.

By the way, people saying Shovel Knight isn't worth $15 are crazy.

I have $30 in credit I should probably burn on something, and I think I need to spend $42 to actually get another $5 certificate.

Contemplating:

Hyrule Warriors DLC
Captain Toad
Bayonentta 2
Something else?

I have pretty much every big game on Wii U, which is why this is hard... I want Shovel Knight but I'd rather have it on PS4/Vita when that hits.

Does anyone know if you get lots of points for the $20 Hyrule Warriors DLC pack? I don't exactly need it right this minute, but I have 280 points to go for my next code. Rather not add yet more indie and VC games in my backlog.

You always get 10% of the cost in points.

The HW DLC is worth 19.99/10 = 199 points.

Earned a lot back from this promotion, most of my Wii U games are digital as a result. Looks like this is the end of road though, back to all physical games since I only trust Nintendo's online services enough to use them when I'm getting money back.

Got 3001 points myself, for a total of $30 back. Not bad, though it definitely would've been a much more profitable promotion for me if it was on 3DS (even just on 3DS, I've bought a ton of stuff on that machine!) It is a bit of a shame they didn't just decide to extend it as a good will type thing, though. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it was making them more money than it lost them anyway (pushes people to buy more stuff on the eShop, and even the money that people get back needs to go back into the eShop anyway).

I just need 34 points, I would get golden sun 2 or dkc 2 if it was released in NA but it isnt =/.

Any suggestions on

I done fucked up. I needed 95pts for a $5 coupon, and decided to blow points on 1080 Snowboarding thinking it would put me over.

Forgot that Wii games don't count :(

The OP's info is incorrect. 12/31 is the last day to earn point, not redeem for codes. Last day to redeem for codes is march 31, and once redeemed the codes must be exchanged for eshop credit by the end of june 2015

Last line of OP:

Please note: the deadline for earning points in the Nintendo Network Premium reward programme is 31st December 2014. Only eligible purchases or eligible download codes used in Nintendo eShop for Wii U before 31st December 2014 will qualify for this promotion. The deadline to exchange your points for an activation code is 31st March 2015.

They're $15 each?!!

They just are. Trust me on this. NES Remix was one of my favourite games of 2013 and the sequel is arguably better. Shovel Knight is one of the best games I played this year.

If you're interested in these games at all, they will deliver.

So far I earned $20, I might be able to get another $5 but it will be a close one. Still think they should keep this promo and also add the 3DS to it.

Just checked the website and had like $25 in credit from the past few months. Picked up some Mega Man games and Zacisa's with that.

I've ended up getting more than $100 back with DDP. I wish Nintendo would annouce a new promotion when this one ends haha

I'm going to buy the NSLU DLC and redeem Kirby's Dream Land 3, which will leave me with $2 left needed to spend to get one last code. I have no idea what else to buy.

i got about $25 back after it was all said and done. all of it was for indie stuff, but i did do the free game thing for game & wario and wii party u (platinum reward and mario kart 8 free game respectively), so that was close to another $10 right there.

Shantae gave me my last credit. I ended up with 15226 points (I bought almost every game I own digitally, save for Nintendo Land). So I basically saved $150. Woo!
