You know...some games actually DON'T have a way to boot back to the main menu. Ever think about that?

Why should one get up and push that reset button when the remote itself has a power-off button?

Also, every game that doesn't allow you to soft-reset should be crushed to pieces with a giant mallet or something. I mean, I'm sure it's not that hard to implement this function now is it? It just pisses me off so damn much.

You may now continue posting OMG N00B OLOLOL!!!1 comments, thank you for your attention.

If every game has the option of restarting game using a menu, why would Nintendo spend 10 cents on such a button per Wii. I don't like conspiracies, but there must be a better reason. :D
So you can hold Reset while saving VC NES Zelda.

Doesn't Wiimote have a "Home" button?

Everyone who played Fire Emblem can instantly relate imo. In Fire Emblem, when you lose a character in battle you will lose them for good. Thus, the leads to many occassions where you lose a character in battle but because each one is unique, you don't want to lose anyone and so you reset the game and try again until you lose no one :lol

Ami you forgot the battles arenas :lol but i think PoR doesnt have those :(

btw, i hope i can soft-reset the console with the wiimote, like the GCN

I saw some pictures of the Wii and after looking at it for a few seconds I was beginning to wonder why Nintendo put a Power button on it.

Why is there a Power button?

I seriously hope that you don't have to Power on everytime you want to go play a game. I can't think of any other reasons to put one on it, so please enlighten me! :)

What's the orange port for?

This is a consequence of numerous contributing factors. Like boredom, the devil making work for idle thumbs, a lack of amusement in the forums, lack of megaton news, lack of news in general, Nintendo not shipping enough dsl's and games in Japan and mere idiocy.
But still, well done, it was worth more in time spent reading than doing anything I was supposed to do. Probably tops the orange port fiasco.
