If I see game devs posting on there it makes me think twice about buying anything they're involved in. The place is horrendous. Dont Nod are the sort of company Era have a wank over and I just ignore anything about their games now for example. Its my little way of making a stand.

I was a Gaf lurker for maaaaaany years. Then the Exodus happened, I thought Gaf would shut down and made an account on era. Was there for some years but their pseudo moralic oppression got worse and worse. Now to the fun part.
In that Cyberpunk thread about the over-sexualized art, I posted:
"Jep, that's Cyberpunk. I like it. So fucked up."
Got banned for one month for "Defending sexist objectification."
Like, wow. You just banned me for liking art. Being born in communist Poland and fleeing to Germany, I know a thing or two about fascists and oppression. Nope, not supporting this anymore.
Came back to Gaf and having more fun here than I had in all those years in that rotten place. Sure, it gets rough here sometimes, but that's a good thing. Don't oppress and censor people and their opinions. Friction and heated discussions are important.

it's really sad. i think CDPR is actually trying to be inclusive, featuring trans people in the game and advertising. but they made some jokes on Twitter and really that's how this whole thing started, because you can't joke about them at all. everything past that has been these lunatics taking every single new bit of content in bad faith. the Twitter posts are ground zero, they decided "these are hateful transphobes" from that point on, and it's just a race to prove their own prejudice right.

So I have a question. Can "verified" people on resetera remain anonymous? What the fuck is the point? verification implies someone of note, who what the fuck is the point of advertising what, if we don't know who the person is? To me, verified badge means they are who they say they are, ie. they're not impersonating that person. So who the fuck is Claven, and why should I care about him? He says he's been working in the industry for "decades" yet he's too much of a coward to actually reveal an identity? Anyone know who this douchebag is?
