Leon's Campaign is the only one worth playing really. Only one I finished.
6 is so bad though... Why not 4? Hell I'll take 5 at this point...
Man, I would love to see this get the DmC Definitive edition treatment.
I started playing through RE6 around Halloween, and really enjoyed the Leon campaign. Then I started Chris' campaign, and it's pretty damn boring so far.
RE5 mercs was the best due to melee kills and the inventory being the easiest thing to quick reloadIt really depends what you're going for in Mercs, if you're going for high scores then it is easily the worst Mercs yet due to needing counter damn near everything and holding secret bosses til last kill.
RE5 Mercs was much better, though the constant melee in that for high scores was annoying too, but still, just melee is better than countering, plus could ground melee if knocked enemies over.
Kind of wish they would get rid of the time bonus for melee kills and just let people play how they like while going for high scores. Or have two Mercs modes, finite time with unlimited enemies, and limited time with bonus for melee kills, with an enemy limit.
I don't get it, Chris's campaign is by far the most congruent the gameplay mechanics*. Leon's campaign was QTE bullshit with enemies that don't do anything.
*until the last chapter, fuck that
This right here. If it wasn't for the REmakes and the Revelations Series the franchise would be dead to me so no thanks Capcom. The game that did kill the series for me. Great.
What happened to capcom? I feel like I missed something that happened to the company the end of last gen
To be fair the game barely teaches you anything about the mechanics, so most players just don't take advantage of them.
That's one thing they need to do in this version: add a proper tutorial.
Last but not least, everyone knows the best campaign is Ada's.
Great mechanics and Ada's campaign is the best. Yeah Day 1 for me.
.
It's not about hate or being a long time fan, but looking at it's core, Resident Evil 6 has it's fair share of problems.I honestly don't get all the hate. RE6 might be my favorite, and I've been playing RE since the longbox original PSX game.

In what twisted universe is the best campaign not Sherry's? Jake's hand to hand was amazing.Leave it to Resident Evil 6 to have a thread about it being ported to new gen reach 6 pages. Love it or hate it, RE6 is certainly a popular/controversial one, lol.
I'm glad GAF has some sense. :3

I think everyone applauded Capcom's quest for making the game so ambitious; four story campaigns, over thirty hours of singleplayer; that's rare these days in more action packed games.

It's given me literally hundreds of hours of entertainment and continues to do so.
It's my most played RE game. Around 200 (if not 300) hours on PS3 and almost 280 on PC.

Too much gimmick sections for my taste: blizzard, snowmobile and motorcycle chase, sneaking sections, melee sections, many "run towards the camera" sections etc. This campaign felt as if creators wanted to utilize every single idea they had that didn't fit in any other campaign. It wasn't as cumbersome when I was playing chapters in the chronological order (alternating between all three campaigns), but playing straight through Sherry's campaign was tiresome.
Well, for one, 5 is worse. That and 4 has been re-released a bajillion times.
It's true, RE6 breaks the value for money bank. Any other company (including Capcom itself at one point) would have left Ada's campaign on the drawing board for future DLC until the game had shipped, but no, it's right there, ready to play. After playing through the first three campaigns, which was amazing, I thought that was it. Then I'm offered what I assumed was a one-off cool-looking Ada mission, which turns out to be just one chapter in an entire new campaign, with some of the best chapters in the game. I couldn't believe it.
Resident Evil 6 is awesome, will definitely double dipon that. Did the console versions have split screen co-op?once the price is right

That's something I do appreciate about 6; it's stacked with content. Compared to other games and how publishers do these kind of things RE6 was a breath of fresh air. It's true, RE6 breaks the value for money bank. I feel likewas a planned campaign as DLC (i.e Jill's LIN/DE in RE5). Here's why I think so:Carla
Story-intersections: Every campaign intersects with the other at least once in gameplay. (LeonxChris 1, LeonxAda 3, LeonxJake 1, ChrisxJake 3, AdaxChris 1, AdaxJake 1) andintersects once with Leon and thrice with Chris. They could make the intersections with Jake and Ada behind the scenes ala RE4's Separate Ways (Leon & Ada in village/castle/island concurrently and only Ada knows it).Carla
Ustanak: He's fully playable in his own mode, they already programmed that and that would probably come in to play incampaign.Carla's
Still even with all of that I kinda wished Capcom would have ditched two of those campaigns and fleshed out the Jake/Sherry and Leon/Helena stories. RE6 would still be a flawed game, but I always believe that if the development team would focused on those aspects (while playing those I always thought these were the main parts of the game) it would have been a more complete and coherent game.
God no.
Chris/Piers is the best in terms of storyline.
Jake/Sherry is the best when it comes to variety of locale and gameplay types
Ada is the best when it comes to stealth gameplay
Leon/Helena was great for atmosphere but that only accounts for the first few chapters of their story. In general, however, they get the worse of everything else.
