Might as well ask this here as well.

So not a hero means it's Chris right?

Yep, I did shot one two times in the head and finished it with the knife.(Make sure you slash the head)
Sure it is. You need to aim for the head to be effective though.
Yup. That's how I got through the basement the first time.
...fuuuuuck. i have wasted SO MUCH AMMO missing headshots on these things.
The annoying thing about this game is that head shots don't normally crit until the recovery animation is finished. So basically, when you shoot something in the head and it reels from the damage, wait until it recovers then shoot it in the head again. Shooting something in the head repeatedly during the reeling animation appears to be practically useless..
I'm curious, but I might have missed this in earlier pages - has anyone ripped the text from the credits yet? I was able to make out some sections of it, and it's clearly a sales pitch for the E-series - mentions that it's provided as a child so you can raise it how you prefer, states that its intended purpose is Mind Control... that's all I got, so I'm deeply curious.
Burn - Do the Happy Birthday puzzle as Ethan but open the barrel so you spill oil.
Exploding - Maybe die from the Time Bomb in the happy birthday puzzle?
Suicide - ?? oh maybe blow yourself up with your own remote bombs?
Stabbing - Fail to resist Mia in either the prologue or the fight in the ship (when you choose to save Zoe)
Remote Bombs for suicide maybe?
Man, I'm really itching to pull the trigger on that season pass but I'm not sure if I want to... It has two smaller DLCs and one story add-on, right? And Not A Hero will be its own separate, free thing? Hmm...
Just had a thought - why does Ethan still hallucinate images of Eveline after he was injected with the serum? That would imply he was still infected, right? How is that possible? What was the point of using the serum immediately then instead of waiting until completely escaping the swamp?

As far as I recall, Ethan never had any serum. He injected one into Jack to calcify him and he gives the other to either Mia or Zoe, depending on who you choose.
I have a better question though, how in the world does Mia not calcify when you inject her with the serum if she's been deeply infected for over 3 years?
The documents in the Salt Mines says there's only a very short window where the serum doesn't become fatal.

She still had sanity/could control herself somewhat. I believe the point of no return is when you literally can't fight back or if Eveline causes it directly or if you sustain a fatal enough wound. The reason why Zoe died and not Mia is probably because Eveline still considered Mia her mommy. Zoe could control her own actions but Eveline forced the calcification.
Even until the end after she locked Ethan out of the tanker, Eveline didn't kill Mia for that reason. Or she couldn't due to focusing on Ethan. As for why Mia calcified when you stabbed her in the Tanker, it's the same as Margeurite. She took enough damage to the point where it crossed a threshold.
Ethan was injected with the serum?
This seems inconsistent to me because we have actively seen Mia kill people from the tanker in Mia's memories without calcifying them. There are even tons of bodies in the Tanker that are dead, but not calcified.
As I recall from the documents, once the fungus cells overtake enough of the human cells, the subject begins to visibly mutate. At which point, it's too late to save that person (the serum becomes fatal). Mia visibily mutates every time she gets controlled by Eveline. Maybe the whole mutation thing is referring to what takes place when an infected person takes enough damage (how Jack and Marguerite mutate into monsters).
There's also the issue on what the Serum actually does. As I recall from reading the documents, the serum just calcifies the fungus cells. This is fatal if the subject is too far invaded to where much of their cells have been co-opted. I guess this would explain how Mia could still be controlled by Eveline and transform after being cured. She literally just gets re-infected (this process being so quick though doesn't make any sense though). The only way this works though is if Lucas received a different serum than Mia. Lucas kept all of the abilities pertaining to the Fungus without Eveline being able to affect his mind.
There are just a few too many inconsistencies for me to completely rationalize what's been going on though.
I've been killed by both prologue and ship Mia, but I still haven't unlocked the Stabbed to death challenge on RE.Net. Has anyone unlocked it? Is there another way to be stabbed in the game?

Maybe during the happy birthday puzzle when you the balloon bursts and you get stabbed by the quill?

Does it actually do damage? Would be hilarious if you had to get damaged to almost dead and then do that to die.
They are dead but not calcified because they didn't take a serum. As for why infected enemies dont calcify upon death.. dunno
Once you cure Mia you don't see her mutate again (Unless you see it through the tanker window when she locks you out? But I thought that was just a visual effect on the door)
And Lucas got cured really early on compared to Mia so that's probably why Eveline was still able to affect Mia but not Lucas.
Maybe either the front or back chainsaw deaths from Mia in the prologue?
Maybe during the happy birthday puzzle when you the balloon bursts and you get stabbed by the quill?
Maybe when you have to hold R2 while she's stabbing you in the arm in the prolouge if it's possible to fail that
I'm curious if the moulded, or Jack have a stabbing attack. I know basement Jack can one hit kill you or hack off your leg with the scissors, but I don't recall him stabbing unless maybe he does it with the shovel.
I'm pretty sure I've died at least once to that before, but I'll try again to be certain.
I thought that was a possibility, but on a previous playthrough I went into the puzzle with little health, but the game removed the "you're hurt" jam from the screen until the bomb explodes, at which point the jam returns.
Do you mean the bit where you are pinned to the wall through your hand? I wouldn't have thought it's possible to fail that. The whole section from Mia in the basement to Ethan grabbing the axe is automatic, but I'll give it a try next time I play.
Remember when Chris was captured in Revelations yet he was not captured ?, He wasn't really Chris to begin with.
They had the same idea of having 2 Chris at play then changed it in the final product, but since this is the same Director of Revelations, maybe they went ahead and brought the idea back ?

Are you referring to the dead bodies in the tanker? We see that Marguerite and Mia (in the Zoe ending) both calcify and crumble away due to excessive damage.
Anyway, I was just explaining confusion as to how Zoe calcifies. Every time we've seen Eveline directly kill someone it's never been due to calcification. If Zoe calcified due to the serum then Mia's non-caclification when you give it to here really doesn't make sense. Zoe was infected after Mia and doesn't seem to exhibit any effects of Eveline controlling her mind (which on a separate note make me think that Zoe and Lucas both received the same special serum and Eveline didn't have control over her).
I was referring to how Mia visibly changes when Eveline takes control over her, like when you fought her in the house. On the path where you give Mia the serum, she clearly start visibly changing again as Eveline is trying to take control. She just fights it long enough to lock the door so you aren't forced to fight her.
This really doesn't make sense. We see from the documents that the serum calcifies the fungus cells, which means that the cells are dead. Eveline has no way to control the host if the fungus cells are dead and calcified. This leads me to two conclusions, either the serum doesn't actually calcify the fungus cells, but somehow just breaks Eveline's control; or Eveline just re-infected Mia with new fungus cells, which haven't been affected by the serum. It's also implied that Lucas still has the regenerative abilities of the Fungus, which means the serum he received must be different.
I wonder what triggered Eveline rampage on the ship. Maybe Allen did something to her?
