i'm watching Two Best Friends play RE7, and I only just realized RIGHT NOW that the line Jack says, "I'm gonna' squash you like a bug! Oh, I hope Marguerite didn't hear that..." is because of Marguerite's thing for bugs, y'know, them being literally her babies and all.
I always took it before now like for some reason she'd be against his violence or threatening something, but duh, bugs.

That's one of the lines that gave me a good chuckle on my second playthrough after I got the joke. Jack's dialogue remains A+, I'd say he's close to or on par with RE5 Wesker for quotability.

Started my second playthrough yesterday. Just after the dinner scene, when Jack is roaming around, I got stuck with him in the room with the floor hatch. He chopped my leg off, then sat down blocking the door waiting for me to pick up the leg and crawl over to him to get a strong medicine flask. Didn't experience this the first time.
Ethan is surprised his leg just mends itself ("what the fuck?!") with the medicine too, kind of explains the fixing of his arm. Should have been a mandatory scene.

You know what would make the "Not a Hero" DLC really cool?
If it played like RE6. I mean since it's all the same universe still. Chris shouldn't have lost his ability to melee enemies.
Character suicide at this point if he can't even punch a molded. Those things are scrubs compared to the stuff he's seen.

It sucks that Jack doesn't make it to the end, either. He's a phenomenal character. I just hope the writers can pull off someone characterized that well in another entry.
And while we're on the subject of Wesker, D.C. Douglas owned that role.

i unfortunately dont have a ps4 copy of the game so i cant get the dlc yet. But how exactly do Night Terror and Ethan must die mode work? Is Night Terror just pretty much the video tape on madhouse difficulty?

I don't really understand why everyone is so quick to assume it's a different Chris or an impostor. Chris looks different in every game and the Umbrella logo could mean a number of different things.
As far as I am concerned it's regular old Chris dogooder Redfield until I'm told otherwise.

As mentioned numerous times before, if this is an assumed identity twist, which I think is plausible due to other factors in the ending, then they're not going to spoil it minutes later in the credits.
I personally think there's enough factors for doubt, and until we get more info, that's what I'm going with.

As I've said many times before, it should also be noted that his voice actor only changed in English. His Japanese VA is the same as it's always been.

They already did clone/impostor twist in 6. Using it immediately again would be stupid IMO. Also him being Chris is much more interesting storywise than him being impostor.

I don't think it's someone trying to look like Chris, but rather just telling Ethan that he is Chris in the moment to trick him. It's implied that Ethan has never met Chris before, or even knows what he looks like.
And Chris potentially working with Umbrella does not appeal the me at all.

Why would Ethan then even know who Chris is? Also using the exact same voice actor who has done Chris since 2002 means that it is definitely meant to be Chris or atleast invoke the idea that he is Chris for the player. This means that it will only go either to the clone stupidity or that he is Chris.

The JP voice actor thing is strange. Nothing else about Redfield reads Chris to me at all though, while it does seem to fit the HUNK theory. As I said above, I think there's enough odd factors in the scene to provide doubt, and until we get more info, that's what I'm going with.

I agree with this, I want to be able to smash molded through walls with massive punches, would be a right laugh.
I've crept around and solved puzzles, ran from enemies and done tough boss fights. I want to be able to just destroy the enemies now.
I keep being reminded by NeoGAF that people hate CV.

Never got around to playing 0 or 6, mailnly because of the reviews when they came out.
Also havent touched the Revolution games.
Obviously, I'm not a fan of where Resident evil went with the action games. I recently replayed 4 and 5, and while they are fine for what they are, they just dont compare to the original vision of the series. 5 goes above 4 because of the Wesker bits at the end.
Can't wait for ReMake2, as I dont think I have touched RE2 since PSX.
Will never understand the hate that CV gets (ok, minus Steve), love that game.
