Finished the game.
It was an absolutely great experience, I put it on par with the best RE games in the series that for me are RE:Remake, RE2 and RE4.
I honestly didn't expect this much when they announced it last E3 and it almost seemed a PT clone.
About the plot I have some questions:
Has Ethan been infected in the end? Because Eveline can clearly hallucinate him and that is the first signal of her infection.
When you're given the option to either cure Zoe or Mia, if you cure Zoe, Eveline kills her in a smart way by essentially making all the mold inside her rapidly multiply and then petrify because of the serum-
Problem is that Eveline could have done totally the same with Mia (if you choose to save her) the moment she realizes she has no intention of being her mom when Mia finds and saves Ethan in the ship.
So there's no reason why Mia in the end survives if Eveline still has a way to kill people who have been injected with serum. Unless Eveline truly sees her as her mother.
The laboratory in the salt mine....the game doesn't say clearly why it was there and who was running it. I guess that Umbrella or whatever company is behind the whole story, after learning about what happened to Eveline and where she was located, decided to build a laboratory near the Baker's house to study her behaviour and what was hapenning to the family?
Was Lucas pretending to be under Eveline's control while actually he was collaborating with Umbrella that cured him with some kind of serum? He still kept his mutating/regenerating powers, so it seems like he wanted to be ''gifted'' but not under Eveline's control. Not sure how he could fool Eveline though, unless he obeyed to all her orders anyway,
Chris Redfield is now a double agent?
If I understand correctly Molded are not infected people who have mutated, they are actually just made of tons of mold shaped into a body form, hence their appearing/disappearing capabilities?
Btw now I really can't wait to see where this is going with RE8!
