Not surprised at all. This is not RE6, Chris isnt some clone that is a lizard, or a grasshopper or whatever god awful idea
My favorite part of daughters is seeing the family being normal briefly and the house not a mess. I wish that the adventure was longer and went out to the boat house or showed where Zoe hid out for years.Don't really know what you guys are seeing in Daughters. Thought it was utterly boring. Also 21 isn't really cheap. You just need to pay attention to cards and when you know you are going to win dump all bet up cards on table and kill the opponent in one go. Problem with 21 is that the Survival+ is a slog and it is too much Saw instead of RE. Lucas was super funny though.

Haven't seen this discussed in the topic. Oh shit?
I still don't get why people think Chris got two different redesigns/new voice actors at once. Not A Hero is timed to release next to Vendetta where Chris looks much, much closer to his RE5/6 counterpart. Even if RE7 Chris is somehow still the same person with looks that changed because of whatever ridiculous reason Capcom writers come up with, I assume Vendetta is going to show what happened and some mutation/cloning/paranormal BS will be involved.
Also, not a surprise the character is still called Chris Redfield in DLC. He was named as such in credits. Doesn't mean there's no twist.
This doesn't make sense.
If the RE7 ending Chris is an impersonator or clone he should look no different to Not a Hero Chris anyway.
The more logical explanation is that they had more time to finalize and tweak Chris' design after completing RE7.
Who was, or is there an explanation for the Ghost girl in the demo?
Or was it all just bullshit.
Probably Eve making her way into the brain of the camera crew, she was grown up during the demo and the demo takes place a few months after the Daughters footage, so maybe she grew up to that point in that time, she wears the same clothes as the grandma, I think.
The demo takes place in 2017, between the Derelict House tape and Ethan arriving. I don't recall the specific dates, as the demo doesn't have one.
Is the demo even canon? Most of it just seems too out of place to tie into the main story.

I would like to see some redemption for the Bakers. Their story is tragic. I feel like we are not going to revisit them ever, though.
I mostly prefer it that way - the a bioterrorism-related incident tears through their normal existence. I don't want them to undercut the tragedy.
Hopefully Zoe made it out in the canon. It'd be nice to see her turn up again.
Script names mean shit. If they are making the Character out to be Chris and in a twist its not they arent going to name the script sequences after the name that gets mentioned at the end of the game.
The corpse in the basement is the first dude that goes missing. Clancy is the burnt corpse you get the keypad code off of.Yes, the whole tape in Birthday, the van at the start of the game... Pretty much the non baker, Mia/Ethan, ship stuff is the camera crew story
But in the game there are a few hints about the crew being missing; the van, the deputy investigation, the newspaper, the corpse descomposing in the basement is probably clancy. So yeah I think at least 2-3 months before Ethan arrival.

I hope it's not Chris, it literally looks nothing like him, at all. I don't think using the different teams between Vendetta and RE7 is a good excuse as where is the consistency?
If Vendetta Chris looks like normal Chris then so can RE7's.
When they made Jill blonde get at least made her look like Jill.
Also this wouldn't be as confusing if Capcom knew how to keep consistency with their fucking voice actors.
How about that JP voice actor who is the same person who has done Chris multiple times in the past. It is Chris.
...And Ada's voice actor was the same for Carla Radames.
So using voice actor consistency is still not 100% proof.

Still better than changing his face and voice for no reason.
Time to move past the denial phase guys.
Im not in denial but if you are programming anything where for a majority of the story they are one character. You wont use anything but that name. You arent going to call each action Hunk_action.

In case someone missed it, the last part of the ending credits with the "newspaper" actually turns out to be an Umbrella sales pitch for the Type-E BOW to customers and observation report for the Bakers. Most of it scrolls by really fast though, but got a good screencap of the last still. If anyone else has the other pages of the report from the credits that would be awesome (realized too late those are more than flavor text), will try to take more screenies whenever I beat the game again in the coming weeks.
Find the info on Eveline's aging most interesting, seems like she needs a maintenance injection or otherwise a Solid Old Snake type rapid aging kill switch kicks in. Also explains why Eveline is so obsessed with Mia being her mother. And if there were any doubts that the new Umbrella company that inherited the E-Type research, tried to smuggle Eveline on the Tanker and Mia was working for (see reference to "handlers" on the right side) was also the one that set up the observation post in the mines and who Lucas was co-operating with, this pretty much answers it. More interesting morsels and context in there that is never mentioned or explained in the game otherwise.
Would they change the voice to keep cost low? Is that possible? I know that Capcom has been in trouble financially for some years now
Okay, so with some Not A Hero details coming from the files (surprised they're in there), here's a few extra tidbits I'll throw into the fray (these are not from the files):
-There are at least two new types of Molded, one has pores which emit a toxic gas. Not only damages Chris, but also any regular Molded turn red and become more aggressive and powerful who end up in the gas. There's also smaller Molded who are obviously inspired by the Face Hugger from Alien.
-Chris wears an Umbrella Tech suit, upgrades with steroids (yes really) rather than regularly healing with herbs, and yes, can punch enemies.
-The DLC was developed by a third party studio, but Capcom wasn't happy with the quality it came out in so they're reworking the levels to be of higher quality, so don't take some elements in the DLC in the files to be finalized.
-You go rescuing your comrades from three trap dungeons that Lucas prepared and caught fellow operatives in.
-There is a unique boss battle in the DLC.
-This DLC piece was made third party again, but being touched up now by Capcom due to them not being happy with the quality, mostly level design stuff. This DLC is action-based while the last DLC from the Season Pass is being developed by the people who worked on RE7 with a horror focus and an interesting director.
