Resident Evil: Veronica (Code Veronica Remake) Announced

What if they do the idea I wanted them to do with RE 1 and 0 (Combining both campaigns into one continuous game)?

I think if the rumors of a RE-RE Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil 0 are true (probably are) , then I could see both games being developed at the same time, just so they could share assets. I am not sure if you'd see one continuous game , or a game where RE0 becomes some sort of DLC? I don't think it is out of the question to see them both merged into one game.

Nothing wrong with admitting you're a casual and it's too hard for you. No yellow paint and all that.
Capcom isn't goint to delist REmake, I don't see why anyone would have a problem with a remake
If anything OG RE trilogy is also available thanks to GOG.

A new perspective could mean a whole new set of scares, plus they always do a pretty awesome job. What's the problem?

Fun fact: "cafe du parapluie" literally means "Umbrella cafè".

Very bizarre trailer, so far removed from the original game.

Like I've said elsewhere, there's so much that can be improved about CV that I have little doubt this will be better than the original.

RE4 remake was just "Resident Evil 4". No IV.
Alright well they did Resident EVII, Resident Evil VIIIage, and Resident Evil Re9uiem. The V is pretty prominent in the teaser, it's no longer Code Veronica, and some of the lore has had changes in the previous remakes. Call me crazy but it doesn't seem like a massive stretch.

I think the new "in-game model" is accurate this time

Claire's actress is a smoke show, dayum.

I know people are going to hate me for saying this but I want them to remake the resident evil outbreak games on the ps2. Never got to experience them and it would be a change of pace to the current games. The multiplayer aspect sounded nice and could use some QOL features I'm sure.

Still happy for this as well because I've played only a little of this game. This and RE0 makes sense tho so I'm not mad.

It's not unreasonable to assume CV remake is taking the place of RE5 in the remake progression and that the prominent V is supporting evidence. We'll likely get RE6 remake after this.

Day 1, but think they could have done better on the trailer. Didn't realize what it was at first due to the whole starting sequence being new.

I mean that was their joke for a long time wasn't it?

they started the RE7 announcement and the RE2 remake announcement als with slightly misleading intros to then do a surprise title reveal

That was the point. They were going for the big crowd reaction at people figuring out what it was and they got it. Claire didn't even speak to the lady because they didn't wanna give it away, but she definitely will the final game.

The true Resident Evil V.

Right on, they really turned Code Veronica into a numbered main-line entry with this: RE V

But why calling just "Veronica" and not "Code: Veronica"?
V = 5

CV would be 105.

Well, it's crapcom, definition of the creatively bankrupt publisher
You're a retard.

Capcom brings out remakes, sequels, reboots, new IPs, and more every fucking year.

They are the most consistent company with the most IPs that remain top shelf. No they aren't perfect but the rest of the industry would kill to have their track record and being able to appease all kinds of players.

The original CV is probably my least favorite. I think it's straight up not a good game. It will probably benefit more from the remake treatment than RE2 & 3.

I still remember facing the final Boss with 4 bullets in my gun and 1 useless red herb.

Dying and restarting with 4 bullets in my gun and that useless red herb.

Dying again and respawning with my 4 shitty bullets and my fucking red herb.

Hope they fixed that 😋

RE5 is the best‑selling game in the series, I don't see why they'd skip it and go straight to 6. Sure, they could turn 6 into a good game with a remake, but it's definitely the riskier move.

Mowing down zombies in Africa was controversial at the time and would cause a lot of meltdowns today.

It's understandable if they don't want to deal with the drama by inevitably creating a culture war battleground.

could also be free PR tho 🤷 and in the end noone who is of any importance (the actual fans) will care anyway

The sooner they do RE5, the sooner they'll need to do the train wreck that is RE6. I'd delay that task as much as possible if I were Capcom. :p

If voice acting is as poor as the trailer and game is designed for first person I will skip this. If this is only the direction for the trailer there is still some hope this ends up good. Hopefully it brings mechanical excellence of R3make and none of the parry filler.
