Ya, more people need to know about this. Best Buy allows you 7 days to pick up an item in store before it gets canceled. This allows you to lock in the price for the next 7 days rather than a sale ending that day.l

Best Buy and Target both have great in-store online-lookup inventory systems. Target will even give you an aisle number to find something if you're looking it up on your smart-phone. I think they put in the aisle numbers just for that. Nice.

Need to get back and finish Resistance: Fall of Man, and continue on with this series. This purchase will help motivate. Thx.

Probably worth it for the campaign but the multilayer is horrible.

This is so, so, so amazingly wrong. If you like more casual-style multiplayer FPS games (as opposed to, say, the Call of Dutys or Battlefields of the world), Resistance 3 is just so much fun. One of the few FPS games this generation I keep going back to over and over.

Great campaign for $10. Fun trophies for the most part and the gameplay is very old-school with a weapon wheel and non-regenerating health.

Non-regenerating health was such a refreshing change.

+1 for recommending this game.

Resistance 3 multiplayer is fun if you don't mind playing a completely unbalanced multiplayer experience or are someone that is willing to play a bunch, level up and then take advantage of the lack of balance.

If someone is buying this because they want a balanced multiplayer experience, they would regret this buy forever.

Co-op is just 2 players playing the campaign, there is nothing to speak about that except that it works well. But if you are asking about co-op ala Resistance 2 co-op, then you have to buy Overstrike.

Resistance 3 was cool. Although the ending felt anticlimactic, Insomniac nailed the atmosphere they were going for and the co-op campaign was fun.

If you're doing in-store pickup, remember that they have a pretty big sale starting Sunday on some different games, too... you can do your R3 pickup on Sunday and grab some of the games from the sale while you're there if that interests you!

The game is really fun. It's full of glitches (freeze while loading a level with local coop, 1 hour to delete the hdd install, etc.), but the campaign is worth it.

Yes, you can play it independantly, however, it would make more sense to play through the other two first, which you can get both for less than $20, and that should only take you about 15-20 hours to complete both.

Yep, multiplayer is a mess in public matches. In private matches, the game is a dream to play, however.

Honestly if you want to enjoy the online, you'd be better off trying to get together with everyone else in this thread who's picking it up and setting up a group game. Playing solo is an awful, awful experience. Private games or playing with a team is really fun though.

I never try to judge a full game based on its beta, but I thought the online beta for this game was terrible. I imagine you are right about trying to play this solo.

I don't really care if the MP is good or not though. For $10, I really want to play the SP.

This is a great game and probably the best shooter campaign of 2011. Shame Sony just shat it out. It's fantastic-- pushes Resistance in a way it never really had before. Finally has a unique visual style, great music, great level design. Etc.
