What's this Move thing?

:-P

I kid, I kid. The official word is that we don't have any comment or statement about Move Support at this time.

Fuck yeah!
Move compatibility C-O-N-F-I-R-M-E-D!!!

I'll take that as a confirmation it'll support Move then

*partys* :p

24 is my favorite player count for MP, but 16 or 32 are acceptable as well, so this is fine. Hope I get into the beta.

And +1 for Move. It's a must.

Holy shit the explosion particles. 1:04 goddamn.

JS, is the HUD final? I feel there's too much info showing up in different parts of the screen. (cue Modern Warfare Multiplayer Screenshot.jpg)

Wow, that looked absolutely fantastic. The lighting, motion blur, and DoF were all really impressive and the game just plain looked fun as hell. The new Chimeran sniper looks badass and the goo gun looked hilarious. Runs really smoothly as well.

The shotgun looked kind of out of place after seeing the alien weapons, but I think I understand what they're going for: the human weapons are supposed to be from rebels so a bit less high-tech than military weapons, right?

Loving the bullet-hole decals.

Looks quick and frantic. I like the looks of it. Although, I noticed some 'Kill Streak' things like the cloak and the assault shield. I assume that there is drawbacks to them, like the cloak being all shimmery blue if you are performing an action. The shield reward looked pretty useful, almost too useful. Can opposing gunfire break those or do they have a short timer? Because being able to shoot through it, yet being shielded from incoming rounds seemed really good. :P

The bubble shield type ability also has me curious. I'm not the biggest fan of drop shield spam in Halo Reach, especially in Objective gametypes. So I hope there are some ways to break the shields efficiently. Overall though, it looks like a blast to play.

Is that the African prison map? The Mutator(?) death at 2:50 looked really cool.

Also, I had a couple of questions you might have missed earlier, although maybe you can't confirm this stuff yet.

Will you still be using dedicated servers? Will there be local multiplayer and split-screen online?

And will there be public custom games?

Looks very nice!
Does MP usually not have any background music?

JS: Will there be costume soundtracks when you play online? Also, since there is split screen SP will there be 4 player split-screen local MP?

That shotgun (Rossmore 236) has been in since R:FOM and it's very awesome and powerful.

16 players sounds great to me. I did enjoy the full scale Manchester and Somerset maps, but I do appreciate a smaller scale if the maps are well designed (busyard was great) and the framerate is solid.

With all the upgrades though I do hope that A LOT of time is being spent balancing them. Do not take a page from COD or KZ3 in that regard. Reach is pretty solid as far as balance between perks and weapons is concerned.

I hope that health and bullet damage is similar to R:FoM and that IG is investing resources in developing a good respawn system (perhpas just don't make maps like Nottingham?!).

With a smaller player count would it be possible to bring back a vanilla conversion game mode? So much fun and so tense.

I know that there is generally a large marketing push behind the public "beta" this generation, but please invite the hardcore R:FoM and R2 players into a private beta to get some constructive feedback. These glorified demos never seem to amount to more than server testing.

One more for Move support, please.

JS: some good objective modes are coming back, right? This footage seems to be straight-up Team Deathmatch.

oh yes, there will be objectives, footage is all from TDM though which is all we've revealed.

The spread looks great and it looks like a proper shotgun should, powerful and lethal. The game has real iron sight aiming now, which is a big plus.

Was that the Rossmore? Looked a lot different from what I remember. Too thin, kind of like a makeshift tube with a shotgun handle instead of my lovely Rossmore (hence my comment).

Not a criticism though, just an observation.

So disappointed they removed R2 awesome coop for generic story mode coop. that will be fun to play, what? 2-3 times?

That footage looks so good, besides the killstreaks of course

Maybe it's a different model? Or maybe rebelliously adjusted to the nature of chimeran evolution. But yeah, it's Rossmore. Maybe not Rossmore 236 but it's a Rossmore.

Looks quite good. I'm impressed. Seems you guys have learned a few things ;)

Looks like a proper shooter now and the graphics are gorgeous. It actually looks like it completely shits on Killzone 3.

I don't want to turn this into a war between Resistance and Killzone but I agree, that extra year seems to have helped Insomniac immensly while GG has taken a step backwards. Shame, would have nice to see both advancing in stead of just the one developer.

Another thing:

Resistance 1 had Rossmore 236 Shotgun.
Resistance 2 had Rossmore 238 Shotgun.

Maybe this is Rossmore 239? ;)

Yeah, it could be just an evolution of it, or a design change. I should have probably reworded my post so that it didn't seem like a criticism. I actually appreciate the fact that since Capelli is no longer with the military he doesn't have access to military-grade equipment. He's just a survivor and part of a rag tag group as I understand.

Yeah, that's what I said at first (:

I really hate killstreaks, it does nothing but promote rambo play. Im trying to a win a game but my teamate is sitting in corner trying to get 5 kills to get his cloak :\

Yeah, Shotgun model changed from first Resistance (236) to second (238). This might be the third model of it.

Looking good J.
The game looks fun to play.

The lighting also looks really dope. Graphics and art direction overall seem very focused. I like that.
