Resogun v. Geometry Wars v. Super Stardust

I haven't played Resogun yet, but GW3 > Super Stardust.

I love them both, but SSHD never grabbed me the way GW3 has. Both are amazing, and i specifically love Housemarque (Dead Nation and Outland are both great), but GW3 has a constant "one more try" hook that SSHD doesn't for me.

Will be getting a PS4 at some point in '15 and Resogun is the main game I'm looking forward to.

All three deserve my full praise but if I had to choose one, it would have to be GW3 but it really is a toss up.

Never played SS, never looked very appealing to me. I think I prefer Resogun to Geometry Wars, though. Some semblance of stage progression goes a long way.

Can't go wrong with any one of them, but I prefer the straightforward twin-stick shooter action of either SSHD or GW a little bit over Resogun. However, I also reserve the right to hedge my bets a bit until Resogun's new DLC comes out. Commando mode looks eeeenteresting.

Till then, SSHD Endless Mode = GW Classic Mode > Resogun.

Between resogun and SSDHD I'd honestly have to go with resogun. Both are God teir, but the extra layer of stress and goals in resogun makes the experience more rewarding.

I prefer Geometry Wars' structure (lack of stage progression, just endless) to Resogun/Super Stardust by a decent margin.

Tbh for me I think it's

Geometry Wars>>>>>>>>Stardust>Resogun

I haven't played Geo 3 yet though. I prefer Stardust to Resogun by a slight amount because I wish you had more room for vertical movement in Resogun, and I just like how Stardust looks visually more.

Also all three are good. Geometry Wars is awesome though, whereas Stardust/Resogun are just kinda enjoyable for me.

I hope Super Stardust Ultra learns from Vita's Delta, which is superior to the PS3 version because of the changes made. It reduces the bullet types from 3 to 2, which actually improves the gameplay immeasurably in action, despite the fact it sounds like a bad thing.

I thought the endless mode in Stardust was the bees knees. I have yet to play geometry wars however, so I can't compare.

Resoun really is a different game when you get down to it. I know it gets lumped together, but it has as much in common with old school defender as say Super Stardust.

I'd say for me Super Stardust > Nano Assault Neo > Geo Wars

I just like the setup of the Stardust/Nano style over say Geo Wars 2. Yes I'm aware 3 tries to be more like what I'd like.

Between stardusts and resoguns soundtracks however, that's a really tough call. I feel like Stardusts was ridiculously amazing, but once again, resoguns is fantastic as well.

I might have to go with Stardust for soundtrack between the two.

I'm a huge Super Stardust fan (Delta on Vita being my favorite), and I have fond memories of Geometry Wars, but I'm going to have to go with Resogun. The audio-visual showcase alone is incredible, but the gameplay is just incredibly tight and fun.

I'm a HUGE twin stick shooter fan. Overall I'd go with Super Stardust. I'm not aware of the differences in the new PS4 edition, but I enjoy the different weapons, powering them up, the bosses, enemy variety, and asteroid destruction of HD, and the Vita edition. Overall they're more satisfying to me than GW.

Still, you can't go wrong with either!

Resogun. Superstardust was great but I tried going back to it recently and it felt slow and boring compared to Reso.

I haven't tried Geometry Wars 3 yet. I didn't like the first two, didn't feel fun to me, just looked neat.

I was kinda hyped on Resogun but doesn't it only have one background all the time?

There's an SSU coming? I didn't even know GW3 was dropping when it did haha. Loved GW2 and SSHD, but GW2 got waaaaay more hours from me. Looking forward to Resogun and GW3 when I get my PS4 next week...my eyeballs are going to melt.

of those three, Resogun, but the arcade original Robotron and Defender/Stargate and a rather obscure late 90s keyboard+mouse shooter called Battle Girl are still my favorites in the genre
