:lol :lol
You guys act like I knew the situation 100%
I knew 3 facts at that time.
1) someone followed me home after a perceived traffic altercation
2) someone continued onto my property after following me to my home
3) someone exited their car and came after me on my property after following me home and after a perceived traffic altercation
YOU PULLED A GUN ON A GUY AND WAS READY TO KILL HIM FOR FOLLOWING YOU? POOR ROAD RAGE DRIVER MUST HAVE BEEN SCARED FOR HIS LIFE!! people.
No, I pulled a gun on a guy who came after me on my driveway at my home. He wasn't the mail man, he wasn't a neighborhood kid trying to get his ball that came onto my lawn, he wasn't a Jehovah's Witness.
It was totally his choice, his own actions that lead to the confrontation and his possible death, not mines. All I wanted to do on Wednesday was get home, feed my dog and and cook my dinner. In fact that's what I was debating on my drive home. grilled chicken or beef stew.
BUT WHAT IF HE HAD A GUN TOO!!!
Funny, because that's exactly what I thought. Also funny because one favorite argument by people who are against firearm as a means of protection against attacks is because criminals would more then likely get the "jump" on you and you will get shot. Yet in this situation I get the jump on the guy and I'm still going to get shot. :lol
I assumed the worst and prepared myself to do what was necessary. If you think that's wrong, well what the fuck can I say? Just like you don't start buying emergency supplies during the emergency, why should I go into what to me was a life and limb situation and come up short? Maybe your philosophy in life is to be under prepared and hope for the best, but that ain't mine's.
I trust my firearm training 100% against the opinion of people who can't even get details of what happened right.
BUT HE JUST WANTED TO YELL AT YOU!!!! people.
He could have stopped on the street, rolled his window and yelled at me. I would have walked on into my house. But he didn't do that. He gets out of his truck, which was parked in my driveway. He comes towards the drive side of my car as i get out and back tracked to the other side as i made it around my car.
It's funny you people talk about what happened and doing so with the benefit of hindsight and then expect me to have that benefit while it was happening.
BUT HE WAS VISIBLY UNARMED! people
Uh no, the way he stopped in my drive way, he came in slanted. His driver door was to the street. Besides seeing his face in the small rear view mirror, that was pretty much all I saw of him the entire time. I saw a tiny glimpse of his upper body for a second or so as he attempted to come around the front of his truck. Again when he back tracked and tried to come around the bed.
The whole thing from start to finish ended in around 5 minutes. The drive way part of the incident was even shorter. Literally it went from parking my car to chambering a round in my pistol in seconds, not minutes. That's how fast things had unfolded at that point
BTW I had grilled chicken.
