Wow, for serious? I'll try that for a temporary solution, thanks.
It's not temporary. It's lasted longer than any other pedal I've ever had, no re-taping, no nothing.

You could waste your money on this, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Are there any brick and mortar stores that sell replacement RB drum pedals for <$30?
I'm having friends over Saturday or Sunday so I can't wait for shipping.
don't listen to them. there's a set at Best Buy that comes with pad silencers, sticks, and a pedal. The pedal isn't the greatest but then it's only $20 for the whole thing.

oh. well, what those last two guys are talking about. Again, the pedal isn't awesome but it will work for what you want it to do. Plus you get pad silencers.

Still, I thought they were back together full time?

Oh and for Dave the album you want is Vs. as it was their only studio LP during their original period. Signals, Calls, and Marches was an EP and The Horrible Truth About Burma was a live LP

They have since reformed and released two rather good albums as well.
weird. My copy must have lots of bonus tracks or something.

Anyway, thanks for reminding me that this band needs to be in the game.

Also, made me think
"Fuck! Where is my Gang of Four?"
That shit would be fun.

It appears that RockBand.com has fixed their picture issue. It now takes a few seconds to render an image instead of a day.

Anyway, here's my band

Nobody's band is as fun as the Electric Rainbow!

:lol E-gads man! What in the hell did you create?

The rendering is extremely fast now.. Full band shot of Pandoras Box. Some issues with the tattoos (bassist is missing some of his tat sleeve) Says it's a known problem :(

It's even better if you put the butter knives underneath the pedal. That way there's no weird bump.
You could try it. They don't fit very well on the bottom, imo.
And, if you tape it right, there isn't as much of a bump as you would intuitively think.
No one, whom I haven't told, has any idea there is anything under the tape.

I hope to join some of you guys online for a tour....this will be fun! The only problem is that I dont speak english...I hope this is not a barrier for our enjoyment.

Hey, I'm pretty sure you already have me on your friend's list, so if you ever need some backup on anything, I can do Bass/Guitar on Expert, and on a good day, I can do most Vocal songs on Expert. I prefer to play drums, but hell, I'm not picky.

Oh, also, I speak Spanish, so I could probably resolve any communication problems there, as long as my wireless headset is charged. :P My parents are both Chilean, and I have an aunt and grandmother that live in Quito at the moment. Hell, I'm pretty sure my sister was born in Quito while my mom was visiting there. :lol

Yea, the first reissue added their first single Academy Fight Song to the end, and the second reissue added I think 5 more songs and totally changed the tracklist.

Taping the knives to the underside works just as well with a greater level of comfort. Might actually last longer as well, as your foot won't be jostling around the knives while playing.

Still, works brilliantly. My pedal might crack at the base, but no pedal mod would solve that.

After numerous attempts to get the band in all one shot, I introduce.

Don and the Mad Women

I'm still working on getting Joan quite right, so there's been about three different versions floating around, but I'm happy with the rest.

It's worse when your girlfriend does like concerts and so you have to sit through fucking Journey or Aerosmith.

Edit: at least the Journey concert had Cheap Trick and Heart and Aerosmith had Stone Temple Pilots, I think.

I'll certainly give you that. Indifference is always preferable to a lack of taste.

AMUSIX said:
You're insane. Journey in concert is a sight to behold. Heck, they rock the stage so hard they can destroy the world.

Perhaps in the past, but modern day Journey? Ehh... I'd be doubtful. Sort of how I have no desire to see the Rolling Stones these days or whatever that shambling zombie trying to call itself the Who is.

Shit, how could I forget GoF?!?

Say, I just happen to have the two DLC songs required to play the Animal Hardcore Marathon (Hammerhead and March of the Pigs), but it requires a Guitarist and Vocalist, and it's rated by highest score instead of star count. Any Expert Guitarrists, Bassists, and Vocalists want to join me? GT: Mo the Hawk

I decided to take a peek at Walmart's AC/DC Live Rock Band page, and noticed something interesting.

Role Playing & Simulation

Does this mean I get to level up Angus?

Angus leveled up!
Angus learned Duck Step!

I would LOVE an RPG put in to Rock Band. For reals.

Oh, you mean like Ragnarawk? It's only a demo right now as the whole affair was a student project, but it has some potential. I'd say it's closest to what Puzzle Quest was for Bejeweled, but with Guitar Hero with a Final Fantasy base.

Or, perchance, did you mean something a bit more realistic. About being a band and developing a career and such? Because that would be pretty awesome. Let's just hope that Neversoft don't try to take GH in the direction they did with Tony Hawk and try to half-assedly make that.

Figured there'd be more people postin' band shots in here (??) BBG, can't see two of your band members bud...

yea I know....I don't really care though. Hayley and Guy Berryman (the 2 that are shown) are the 2 people I play with. The other 2 dudes are suppose to be Johnny Buckland and Chris Martin. :P

Is that Hayley with a strategically placed snake?

You know it.....

I was thinking more along the lines of option 2. Literal RPG management stuff, a cross between Final Fantasy and Championship Manager, with character creation. But that video you linked to looks fairly awesome as well; I would totally buy any game that used the guitar controller outside the context of "play along to this song!", even if it is just "play along to this riff while HP is reduced!"

Rock Legend is apparently much like this, but it's more about managing the band than actually ever playing. It's also apparently not very fun to play. There is a demo though.

Edit: I finally tried the demo. It was basically just very dull. Choose a daily activity to do that will increase a slider. Try to earn money by having full sliders, buying stuff, and continually gigging. There is absolutely no actual fingers on buttons musical sim portion however.

The video, mind you, has a proper game behind it as well. I thought the info box included a link to it, but if you're interested the first bit can be downloaded here. As I said it's a student product so it's not fully complete, just the first level demo for now.

And it seems to be made for toddlers, as my size 10.5 foot is way too big for it.

Or possibly me. I'm only 8.5.

Huzzah pictures are developing fast!
My band Rowe's Renaissance Men (and a chick I suppose) featuring (from left to right)
Me, Gene, Mark Rowe, and Lisa...I should probably make a band logo eventually

Heya RB-GAF, I have a question. My foot pedal finally snapped in half, so I want to get a replacement from EA. Now, when I'm at the RB Support site, it seems like the only options they offer are that the spring isn't working, or that it's simply a "faulty drum pedal". Now, I don't want them to get angry at me, so what do you suggest I do? Should I send them an email stating it broke, or just say that it's not working, and let them figure out the (obvious) reason why when they receive it?

Like I said, I don't want them to get angry or anything.

When mine snapped, I just selected the option that said it wasn't returning to the proper position. Which it isn't, on account of it being snapped in two.

Hahah, alright. I'll go ahead and do that, then.

FakeEdit: Aww, they require a receipt to show purchase within 60 days...ah well. I guess I'll have to sacrifice a few butter knives and duct tape.

Hey, I just played some Rock Band 2 tracks
in Frets on Fire
. They've modded that shit up good! It never felt good, but it felt like it worked, to a degree.

I really liked Spoonman until it got to a long part where I did nothing and I quit out of boredom. Lazy Eye and Teen Age Riot both annoyed me. So I decided to stop playing the songs and just wait for the game, cos I wasn't enjoying it. BUT, I went in their options menu, and whichever mod I installed has so many awesome features that it makes me mad the real games don't have them. I had RB's layout at 200% speed with GH:3's viewing angle, and it was gooood.
