I can understand that, but it still a lot of fun with local mp too. I only did splitscreen online but I can imagine 4 person splitscreen is also fun.

A fantastic game that deserves all the downloads. Hopefully many of those 5 million will buy the upcoming cosmetic DLC as well. 500k On Steam at 20 is also very good for this timeframe.

My PS+ subscription expired last week and I didn't renew it for a few days.

The urge to play Rocket League was too strong, I ended up resubscribing on Sunday and proceeding to play it all day.

Once it is rotated out of PS+, the word of mouth should help it sell copies to new PS4 owners. I imagine this will be huge during Steam sales as well.

The game's free with a mandatory subscription. Don't kid yourself. If there's five million active players on PS4, that would knock some socks off.

LOL A lot of the hype from this game came from the PS4 closed beta. It's already been stated by others in this very thread. It makes no sense to take your stance.

This is an insane number. I'd love to know how much SARPBC sold lifetime on PS3 for a comparison. I loved that game but it never got any attention. So happy for the devs.

Downloaded it at launch on PS+, bought it on PC the next day to support 'em. Can't wait to see the future of RL

Yeah, this is the biggest headache. I would totally want to enter tournaments, but the split means I'm all alone on PC.

Demon's Souls, Ico, & Shadow of the Colossus were given away on PS+.

I'd say it's the best ever PS+ game on PS4, tied with Resogun.

There was never any rage. There was a dedicated thread convincing people that the game would be amazing based on beta tests in the past, as well as Psyonix's previous game.

I think some people don't get how big a deal 500,000 Steam sales is in this short a period of time for a small dev. Good on them.

4 million free downloads on PS+ doesn't mean a lot in comparison. Who even knows if those people are playing it.
