o 12:05am

o 12:07am

all of them sold out. There is no movie that has ever done that in bumfuck PA :lol

I know what you mean. I don't recall the theater where I live ever having 4 midnight showings of a movie. Earlier this week only 1 was listed, checked it yesterday, up to 2, this morning 3, and now tonight it's a midnight showing for all 4 screens that the movie will be playing on.

The Amstar (Grand) in Macon, GA is almost completely sold out of 4 midnight showings as well. This is craziness.....this is madness.....this is the GODDAMN BATMAN! :lol

Dayton Plexes are sold out.

DAYTON — Holy box-office bonanza, Batman! Midnight screenings of "The Dark Knight" at Dayton-area theaters are largely sold out.

The highly anticipated sequel to 2005's "Batman Begins" opens in theaters at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 18.

Three of four midnight screenings are sold out at Regal Cinemas Hollywood 20 at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek.

Cinema de Lux 14 at the Greene in Beavercreek also has sold out three of four shows. Tickets remain for a 12:15 a.m. screening.

Showcase Cinemas Dayton South in West Carrollton still has tickets for a 12:05 a.m. screening. The 12:01 a.m. show is sold out.

Tickets remain for both "Dark Knight" midnight screenings at Showcase Huber Heights.

Guys for those that seen the film on Imax and regular, little advice please. The only Imax theatre is like close to an hour trek for me, I've never seen a film on Imax before but wondering if I should bother with the trek or just see it on regular theatre tommorow morning.

I think I'm going to the matinee at 3:10 after work. It's either that, or go tonight and get 2 hours of sleep. And less teenagers as well. :)

I'm going to a regular 35mm 5:10pm showing right when I get outta work tomorrow with my parents since all my friends work, then IMAX Sunday at 7...I may throw a regular 35mm showing in there on saturday too.

Im in a SMALL ass college town that EMPTIES out during the summer

and we have 2 midnight shows already showed out, i had no idea that amount of people were even HERE this summer.

here in nyc....i know some ppl going tonight to the midnight showings...all sold out.

i live in queens and the 3 big theaters around me all have multiple (4-5 midnight showings) each minutes apart and they are all sold out. my cousin somehow got tickets for the 12:17pm show.

well im sure i can get tickets if i really wanted somewhere in the city but really im holding out for imax so im waiting till saturday.

still cant believe that 2 weeks ago when i reserved my tickets the fri night show was already sold out.

I can't wait to see this movie again. I almost want to bring a pen and pad and write down all my favorite moments. There were s many the first time that I couldn't remember everything :D

Just watched Insomnia, an earlier movie by Christopher Nolan.
Al Pacino gets a call by a Mr.Eckhart who's an attorney/federal affairs trying to clean the police forces (and ultimately get himself a headline). Found this a funny coincidence.

PA, huh? Anywhere near Downingtown?

I'm calling it right now: Dark Knight will be nominated for best picture, best supp. actor, best director, and the usual technical awards (editing, cinematography, etc.)

You know what? I would hope Ledger is nominated as best lead. I don't think it's too much of a stretch given his screentime. I actually hope Aaron Eckhart is nominated best supporting, but I really don't see it happening. Eckhart was absolutely incredible and I hope his performance isn't overlooked.

well so far they have gotten it right....one year...in a row...

Enjoy your midnight showings you crazy bastards! Another 20 hours to go for my TDK screening. Im probably going to avoid the internet period tomorrow before I see it, since I guarantee spoilers will be everywhere after midnight tonight. There are tons out there now, obviously, but they've been mostly avoidable so far.

so i checked my local imax's schedule for shits and giggles.

friday-sunday is all sold out. every show. fuck, even monday evening is sold out. crazy.

The Departed in 06, No Country For Old Men in 07? Not a bad streak to have for a normally pretentious award show.

I actually agreed with Departed, but it was a shame Children of Men didn't win, or atleast nominated

I can see it tomorrow in a normal theater or wait a week and see it in imax. Worth the wait?

I prefer 35mm (thats what Im seeing), so obviously I am going to say that the former choice is the best of both worlds - preferred format and earlier.
