In regards to security, they made my wife open up her purse in order to make sure she didn't have a camera. They also were extremely vigilant about making sure that people were not playing with cell phones. They warned they would you out if your phone made any noise during the film.

In Australia all Cinemas have been given night vision goggles to prevent leaking.

At the theatre I went to, not only did they not check IDs with the tickets, but I didn't see anyone get their bags checked, either. There were a couple of people on the way out that had cameras and were taking pictures of the people who had dressed up, even. I'm assuming the security was lax because of the fact that this theatre is at a furniture store (they show movies regularly, but it's not really a fully-functioning cinema). Yes, it's weird, but it's a really big, popular furniture store chain in New England.

No seriously, all these people giving the film bad scores are gonna be the laughing stock 30 years from now, like all those negative Godfather 2 reviewers we found:lol

you burned me with Wall-E, and various other shit on the gaming side....I hope this is amazing.
If you didn't like WALL-E, it's quite possible that you have no soul, so I can't promise you anything.

He enjoyed the Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 game. That's probably what devoured his soul.

has something to do with the camera

*downloads*

it's called "HaHaHa" description "Make everyone everywhere look like ME"

Any other GAFers go to that disaster of a show in Council Bluffs, IA? Sound cut out twice and then the fucking power went out 40 minutes before the end, and they canceled the screening after the power came back 2 minutes later.

I have the movie equivalent of blue balls like you wouldn't believe.

holy shit that's terrible. I'd fucking riot.

I just wanted to say that I waited in line for this movie beginning at 6:30. Peed at least three times waiting because I was so excited.

Then the movie started and never let me go. vatstep is so right. It is a beast. It never stops.

I got in my car after calling my brother and just could barely keep my shit together. He and I have seen so many awesome movies together and I was kinda disappointed that we couldn't share both of us seeing this one together for the first time. I told him he needs to get his ass up here so I can see it with him.

I don't like roller coasters, but this movie was just exhausting and amazing all at the same time. If there is a movie I have been this in love with after the first viewing, then someone needs to tell me.

I literally just walked over to my movie collection, and the only two movies I own that I can think even come close to comparing in the personal impact it had on me are Requiem for a Dream and Fight Club. When I saw those movies for the first time, I was in awe. The Dark Knight goes right alongside those, and actually surpasses it.

If Ledger doesn't win the Best Supporting Oscar, the person who wins had better have the best fucking acting performance of all time. We're talking Orson Welles in Kane, Brando in Godfather, Pacino in Godfather II, Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs type shit. Because that is what Ledger gave in this role. Not a SINGLE scene that he is in is wasted or not completely all eyes on him. The whole movie is on edge because of the Joker and Ledger's portrayal of him. It's just absolutely impeccable.

This is easily my movie of 2008. Probably ahead of Requiem for movie of the 2000s. Fuck it, it's probably my favorite movie of all time. It just is exhilarating.

Thank you, Christopher Nolan. God bless you.

Thankfully it did not come to that, but I am all sorts of pissed that I'm going to fight the weekend crowds to get some release.

edit: The manager was going to have a midnight screening tomorrow for all the people that got fucked over, but no way I can make that because of my day job.

I'll gladly fork over the $12 for another IMAX viewing. Just wish I got some closure on it the first time through.

And, for anyone that lives close to an IMAX, you must see this movie on IMAX. So goddamn amazing.

i really want to see it again.....probably in imax

Just got back from the INDY IMAX, I didn't consider myself a batman nut, but NOW I AM A BELIEVER!

Biggest fuck up ever. I realized an hour into my drive to New York that my ticket was for PITTSBURGH IMAX.

How the fuck did I get this ticket? I did not click the wrong fucking link. GODDAMN IT.
I'm sorry. They would have let you in 100%. Didn't check ticket just scanned for devices.

Words also cannot describe what I just witnessed.

You lucky bastards with your advance screenings and your UBER HYPE has upgraded my raging boner to radioactive boner.

Come on guys. Keep spoilers out.

No. Nobody from WB or viral were there. Simple movie screening. At the West Nyack at least we had PLENTY of empty seats from no shows or people with tickets who couldn't go.

There was a girl from WB at my theatre, but still no free stuff. And even though they made an announcement about it being sold out, sit close together, yadda yadda yadda, there were probably 50+ empty seats.

in indy, someone was dressed up as joker and had two decks of just joker cards, but they're not the normal joker cards you get in a standard deck, they have an "old" or "worn" touch to them.

Saw an IMAX screening tonight. Certainly the best film I've seen this year and probably will settle to be one one of my faves of all time. As others have said, stop reading ANYTHING ELSE about this film if you haven't already -- there are huge things that happen in this movie that aren't even hinted at in any of the previews.

Elegant, powerful, beautiful film. Amazing score too for those that care about these things.

Absolutely fantastic movie. My expectations were pretty damn high, and it met them.

I did find some of the dialog a little heavy handed and the execution of the
ferry passenger scenes
had me kinda ever so slightly cringing, but meh, they didn't really matter in the scheme of things.

Heath Ledger stole the entire thing. There was so much hilarious black humour. I savoured every moment he was on screen and wanted more.

:lol @
Joker nurse with the explosion behind him and his FUCKING AWESOME disappearing pencil trick. :)

It went by so freaking fast and i didn't want it to end.
