No it's not, so he's obviously posting from inside the theater and missing part of the movie as he types.harSon said:Is it out on DVD already?

Was pretty badass IMO

ToyMachine228 said:Yes, that's not in the graphic novel. And I HATE that line. That Doctor has a much more fleshed out storyline in the graphic novel, and it really makes you see the effect that Rorschach has on him, without even being mean. He's just telling him his life story, and it has a profound effect on the Dr, and changes the way he perceives people. Instead, that scene was thrown in to make the Dr. just look like a coward or a character who is "against" Rorschach.
-COOLIO- said:it's not like they could of fleshed out the doctor in an already 3 hour movie though. so they made him a different character to which an awesome line could be delivered.
besides the doctor arc was probably the slowest part in the novel and the movie was already criticized for being slow if i recall.
YYZ said:Rorschach's execution of the midget dude is also much better in the movie imo.
The doctor part was one of the many things that I liked about the graphic novel far, far more than the film. The film spent a lot of time glorifying people who are total shitbags (Rorschach and the Comedian), and was really hamfisted about a lot of the parts of the story which definitely needed a more delicate touch (the way the-COOLIO- said:it's not like they could of fleshed out the doctor in an already 3 hour movie though. so they made him a different character to which an awesome line could be delivered.

This mode does what I've wished director's commentaries had been able to do for a long time now... freeze the movie at a certain point and talk about a section in detail as warranted. Up until now the pace of the commentary has always been shackled to the pace of the movie as you generally want to be talking/hearing about what's on screen at that moment. Now it's finally possible to change the pace of the movie to fit the commentary - LONG LIVE BLU-RAY!ezekial45 said:Quick sample of the video commentary on the blu-ray release.

Everything precluding the attack makes me understand why it was cut, but the scene of his attack itself was beautifully shot.

Of course Batman doesn't exist, his parents never got killed.shagg_187 said:1. My question is about the amazing opening montage (the first 5 seconds to be exact). Is it just me or is it a massive homage to Batman (including Batman posters and the folks exiting the theater who look like Mr. and Mrs. Wayne with Alfred watching over as Nite Owl punch the "killer" of Batman's parents)? Do you think Batman exists in Watchmen universe? If so, in what shape and form?
