RTTP / remember that game? Rival Schools / Project Justice / Justice Gakuen

I put so many hours into Project Justice on DC. I loved the game and name so much i decided to use it for myself. Im hoping Capcom brings it back in this up coming generation. It also describe my personaly in real life.

Even got a Tattoo done on my forearm.

Thats a cool tat my man.

Rival schools just had the most awesome premise for a fighting game. I really would rather a new Rival Schools than Darkstalkers.

Oh shit I didn't know batsu was in that pic!

Pretty much!

Although I wonder why Gedo exists when you think about it, and if there's such a school focused solely on athletics (Gorin). Still, it must be successful since it has its own university branch.

I adore Rival Schools. It's a mainstay on my Vita at this point.

It's from my favorite era of Capcom and Capcom artwork. It was also my first encounter with a fighting game that had a cool/interesting story mode built in. I loved the pre/post fight dialogue and shit.

This game had everything.

Specialist/Magnet schools definitely exist, and while I don't think you'd find one that has a sports-only curriculum, there are ones that definitely focus more on athletics than academics.

Ahh neat.

But what about Gedo? Is it essentially "the crappiest of all the public schools"? Also I find it weird that it's an all-boys.

Yeah, they have those in Japan.

And they traditionally get characterized as a den of delinquents in pop culture. Some reference material:

Both films are based off of mangas as well.

I always thought delinquents in popular Japanese media are more on common schools or even the ones like Seijyun where they're the rebels of a classy school. Never thought there's an actual "lowest of the low" school.

Rival Schools is amazing. It needs HD treatment with online play.

I wish they would have localized that board game mode from Project Justice. Had tons of fun with it still.

Still funny to think there were 3 Batsu's in it.

Dusted off my DC to play this gem and Virtua Fighter 3 TB today and guess what? Akira has a new fan: my daughter. What a fun game. I spent hours playing it today. So charming.
